Balatro Friends of Jimbo (Pack 3)

More collaboration DLC has just arrived for Balatro with Friends of Jimbo (Pack 3). Players on Nintendo Switch can access it starting today.

The lineup of collaborations this time include Divinity Original Sin 2, Shovel Knight, Potion Craft, Enter the Gungeon, Cult of the Lamb, Don’t Starve, 1000xResist, and Warframe. Fans can add visual flair to their decks with new cosmetic card skins inspired by fan-favorite characters from these games.

August 7: We’ve got the latest on the performance of Balatro, with sales surpassing two million and a gameplay update is planned for 2025.

Publisher Playstack and developer LocalThunk are planning a “Three-of-a-Kind of Surprises” campaign. The first announcement, as already stated, is that there’ll be a major update next year. This will add “new ideas and strategies to the game” at no extra cost.

Balatro just revealed a new wave of DLC with the Friends of Jimbo (Pack 2). More collaborations are in store.

Players will be able to add some visual flair to your decks with these new cosmetic card skins inspired by fan-favorite characters. Cyberpunk 2077, The Binding of Isaac, Slay The Spire, and Stardew Valley are featured in the next pack.

Balatro The Witcher III, Dave the Diver, Among Us

Balatro just revealed a number of collaborations with The Witcher III, Vampire Survivors, Dave the Diver, and Among Us. This is part of a brand new “Friends of Jimbo” update, arriving today.

Balatro physical

Balatro is getting a brand new physical release as part of a “Special Edition”, and pre-orders are starting to go live.

The rollout of the announcement took place in a bit of an odd fashion. PlayStack technically shared the news during a Giant Bomb at Nite show a couple of weeks back. The publisher itself still never put out an official announcement, but now that the news is out there, perhaps that isn’t important.

Balatro update 1.0.1

LocalThunk is reading the first major update for Balatro, version 1.0.1.

While there are a couple of fixes here, the patch is mainly implementing a ton of different additions and changes. One of these is a new ‘Perishable’ mechanic for Jokers, ante scaling adjustments, and more.

March 6: Playstack and LocalThunk today announced a new sales milestone for Balatro, their poker-inspired roguelike deckbuilder that’s turned into a hit. Total sales have now surpassed 500,000 copies.

That number is based on worldwide sales across all platforms. The feat was accomplished in just ten days.
