Metal Dogs

Nearly a year after its Japanese release, Metal Dogs finally released on Switch in the West earlier this month, and now gameplay footage of the shoot ’em up action game is available. Players interested in the Metal Max spin-off can check out 25 minutes of footage below:

Nearly a year after its original Japanese debut, Metal Dogs has started to release in the west.

Those in Europe can pick up the game right now. The North American launch is trailing behind slightly, but we have confirmation that it’ll be ready on March 8, 2023.

Publisher Kadokawa Games and developer 24Frame prepared a new trailer today for Metal Dogs, their roguelike action game. The title officially launches on Switch in Japan later this week.

Below is some information about Metal Dogs via the official description: 

Publisher Kadokawa and developer 24Frame have announced that top-down 3D action roguelike Metal Dogs will be arriving on Switch in Japan on April 8, 2022. In addition, they have also announced that both digital and physical editions of the game will be available, including a special “Woof-Woof-Woof Duffle Edition” that comes with a physical duffel bag and CDs holding the game’s soundtrack.

Metal Dogs, a spin-off of the Metal Max series, has been in Steam Early Access on PC. It’s now been announced that we’ll be seeing it on Switch as well.

Metal Dogs is a top-down 3D roguelike action game. Naturally, you’ll be playing as a dog who can use machine guns, cannons, and special equipment to take down enemies. You can play as the Shiba Inu “Pochi”, Doberman “Bell”, and Bulldog “Bonanza”.
