Asterix & Obelix XXXL The Ram From Hibernia

Another Asterix & Obelix is inbound for Switch with Microids having now announced Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia. It’ll be on Switch this fall.

The game will take players “on a journey through Hibernia for a series of memorable brawls where no dirty tricks will be barred… including smashing your enemies with a barrel”. It’ll be possible to play alone or with up to four players in co-op.

XIII Switch

Microids has provided an update on the Switch version of the XIII remake, revealing that it will launch on September 13, 2022.

The game originally launched in 2020. Microids delayed the Switch version to 2021 just before launch, but it would later quietly slipped into 2022.

Smurfs Kart

Smurfs Kart is coming to Switch, publisher Microids and developer Eden Games revealed today. It will be available this winter.

The game follows The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf, which is a 3D platformer. Microids and OSome Studio brought that one to Switch late last year.

Scrap Riders release date

Original (6/13): Scrap Riders, which was first announced for Switch last year, now has a release date. Publisher Microids and developer Games For Tutti have confirmed that the pixel art adventure game set in a cyberpunk future will be out on September 21, 2022.

Arkanoid: Eternal Battle Switch

Arkanoid: Eternal Battle was announced last year, and while we were unsure about platforms at the time, Switch seemed likely. We now have confirmation that the game will indeed be released on Nintendo’s console.

Last May, Microids announced Flashback 2. The title resurfaced during Summer Game Fest today, and it was confirmed that the title will launch on Switch in 2023.

Developer Microids have announced that The Quest for Excalibur – Puy du Fou, a theme park-based adventure game, will be coming to Switch on July 12. Based on the Puy du Fou theme park, the game will see you exploring the park and taking on various challenges to find and assemble the fifteen pieces of the broken Excalibur.

Syberia The World Before

Syberia: The World Before is heading to Switch, it’s been revealed. Director and lead writer Lucas Lagravette actually confirmed the news in a previous issue of MCV/Develop that we’ve been digging through.

The original Syberia trilogy was previously made available on Switch. In fact, a physical bundle of the three games even saw a retail release.

2D Metroidvania F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch was rated for Switch earlier this year, and publisher Microids has now confirmed that the game will be coming to Nintendo’s console in Q3 of this year with a physical release. The game, developed by TiGames and published by bilibili, was released on Steam and Epic Games Store last year, and digitally on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, which will also be getting retail versions of the game alongside the Switch.
