A Special Raid Week is coming to Pokemon GO, Niantic has announced. Starting April 15, Latios will be appearing in Raid Battles. Those who are particularly lucky may encounter Shiny Latios.

The Special Raid Week in Pokemon GO will conclude on April 22.

Niantic confirms Pokemon GO 2019 summer events

Niantic has announced that it will be holding more events throughout the summer for Pokemon GO. As part of this, Pokemon GO Fest will be held in Chicago, Dortmund, and Asia. Safari Zone events will also be held in the second part of 2019.

Outside of summer events, Pokemon GO Community Days will continue. Upcoming events include May 19, June 8, July 21, and August 3.

Pokemon GO hits $2.5 billion in worldwide revenue, Q1 spending up 40% year-over-year

Pokemon GO has reached an estimated $2.5 billion in player spending, Sensor Tower reports. The mobile game has earned another $700 million since hitting $1.8 billion for its second anniversary last July. That means there’s been an average of close to $78 million per month spent since then.

Sensor Tower adds that Pokemon GO grossed roughly $205 million during the first quarter of 2019 for an average of about $2.3 million per day. This was a year-over-year increase of 40% from the close to $147 million spent by players during Q1 2018. Furthermore, the average spent in Pokemon GO each day since launch is nearly $4 million.

Pokemon GO hosting Bug Out event next week

Niantic has announced a new Bug Out event for Pokemon GO, which will kick off next week.

While the event is live, Bug-type Pokemon will appear more frequently in the wild, Incense will last twice as long, and more Pokemon will appear when using Incense. Additionally, limited-time Bug-type Pokemon Field Research will be available.

Pokemon GO is hosting the Bug Out event between April 2 and April 9.

Pokemon GO Community Day to feature Bagon in April 2019

Niantic has announced that Bagon will be the next Pokemon featured for the latest Pokemon GO Community Day. The event itself will be held on April 13.

Just like in the past, Bagon will have an unspecified exclusive move for the event. Other bonuses include 3x catch XP and 3-hour Lures.

Giratina appearing in Pokemon GO raids soon

Players will soon be able to take on Giratina once again in Pokemon GO. There are two separate parts to the event.

Starting on Mach 28 and lasting until April 2, Giratina will be appearing in its Altered Forme. Once the end date arrives, Giratina will switch over to its Origin Forme. It all concludes on April 29.

Frenzy Plant is the exclusive move for Sceptile on Pokemon GO’s Community Day this Saturday

It’s been known for a while now that Pokemon GO’s next Community Day, which will take place this Saturday, March 23, between 3 PM and 6 PM, will feature Treecko. As per usual, you will find increased spawns of Treecko, as well as incubators being four times as effective. Niantic has now also announced the exclusive move for this Community Day: if you evolve Grovyle into Sceptile during the event and up to one hour after it ends, it will know the move Frenzy Plant.
