Arc System Works is bringing Swords & Darkness and Ninja Usagimaru to the 3DS eShop today. Trailers for both titles are posted below.

Two Arc System Works games have been dated for the North American 3DS eShop. On June 11, the previously Japan-exclusive Swords & Darkness and Ninja Usagimaru – The Gem of Blessings – will be released, according to listings on the Wii U store. Pricing is set at $6.99 and $4.99 respectively.

Arc System Works recently shared a new batch of screenshots and information for Swords & Darkness. The game’s latest content is posted bvelow.

– Moves include whirlwind and uppercut attacks
– Some faux 3D, with one piece showing your protagonist running up a circular staircase
– Part-RPG
– Talk to some survivors and level up
– Allocate skill points in up to 10 different stats including weight
– Can equip different kinds of gear
– Story: war had been waged just before the start of the game between the kingdom of Athelstern and another
– In order to save themselves, the king of Athelstern incanted a spell from the Vessel of Life, resurrecting his dead soldiers and granting them new strength
– With such power, the kingdom was saved… but at a heavy price
– Game begins with the king having lost his mind (the curse of using such powers beyond mortal ken)
– King and his resurrected troops jealously guard the castle and the now hatred-filled king
– To end that madness and return the kingdom to its rightful, peaceful ways, you must go forth to kill the king, or save him if you can
– Out on December 18 in Japan

Interesting that Swords & Darkness’ opening video is spoken in English. That bodes well for a western release!
