Tetris 99 31st Maximus Cup announced with Kirby’s Dream Buffet theme

It’s been a little while since the last Tetris 99 Maxmius Cup, but the game’s 31st event is incoming with a chance to earn a theme based on Kirby’s Dream Buffet.
Those that want to participate can do so by being a Nintendo Switch Online member and playing the game’s online mode during the event period. Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. After reaching a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by Kirby’s Dream Buffet.
Not a Nintendo Switch Online member yet? That’s not a problem, as there’s even a free seven-day trial available for new members if you’d like to participate for the first time.
The Tetris 99 31st Maxmius Cup featuring Kirby’s Dream Buffet kicks off on December 15 at 11 PM PT / December 16 at 2 AM ET. It will last until December 19 at 10:59 PM PT / December 20 at 1:59 AM ET.
