World to the West update on now – performance and visual improvements, more

Rain Games released a substantial update for World to the West this week. The patch improves performance and visuals, implements bug fixes, and more.
Here are the full patch notes:
Performance improvements (pt1)
– Optimized geometry for better culling and batching in most levels
– Optimized many visual effects
– Replaced many visual effects and animations with more performant versions.

Visual:
– Adjusted water edges in all levels with water to align better.
– Improved lighting in several levels that were too dark.
– Made fish less likely to escape the water.
– Improved look of fog in many levels.
– Added burn marks to several explosions.
