Details are posted after the break. They’re a bit spoilerish in nature!

– Jeanne is dragged to hell for unknown reasons
– Something is disrupting the balance between the trinity of worlds
– Infernal Demons are out of control, heaven forces are back in full force, and the world is falling apart
– The boy Loki is with Bayonetta and needs to get Fimbulventr for some reason
– This mysterious place houses the gates to the various realms and it is here where Bayonetta and Loki probably split ways
– All of the angels are specifically after Loki
– While the duo are not on speaking terms, Bayonetta protects him from a mysterious cloaked man
– In the third chapter, the angelic serpent called Glamor swallows up Loki and intends to bring him to Paradiso
– Bayonetta takes chase over a water cyclone that she has to surf on
– The climax of this chapter places you at the gates of heaven squaring off against Glamor
– Fifth chapter is “The Cathedral of Cascades”
– This chapter continues the serpentine trend
– The next transformation for Bayonetta is an underwater snake
– This makes exploring underwater sections much easier
– In the fifth chapter, the story further drives home that the balance between light and dark is off
– Out of nowhere, a mechanical Inferno creature called Pain starts attacking Bayonetta and Loki,
– After openly wondering why the Infernals are after her, the pair makes it further in the Cathedral
– Luka shows up and details the Legend of Aesir
– There are three realities: Light, Darkness, and Chaos
– Earth was born from chaos and had a leader called Aesir
– Aesir’s eyes were the eyes that created the world and gave this reality shape
– The god realized that humans had no free will and created that will by bringing the Eyes of the World to fruition
– Bayonetta is interested in the story, but becomes fed up with Luka’s chatter and promptly kicks his butt
– Right after, the angelic forces return to attack Bayonetta
– During that chapter, you also control Loki as he runs away from a heavenly creature
