Majesco has announced a new release date for Nano Assault. The shooter is now scheduled for December 5.

All things considered, that wasn’t too long of a delay – it was pushed back for around two weeks. It’s going to face some heavy competition going up against Mario Kart 7, though.

There’s a rumor going around that Square Enix is remixing either Dragon Quest VII or Final Fantasy VII for the 3DS. Supposedly “Creamsugar” has learned that this announcement will be made next year.

“OK here is the rumor: big N will announce a megaton on next year’s meeting which to celebrate 3DS sold XX million. …It’s a remix version of the 7th game of a famous (J)RPG series, and will sell half year later of a spin-off game of the series. …The source told me at the end of year 2010, there will be a power up version of MH3 for 3DS. And then we all knew it during this year’s TGS”

For some reason, this speculation is being picked up on a variety of sites. And really, I have no idea why. The “source” seems questionable, and has provided some information in the past that has seen mixed results. But I suppose there could be some truth to the rumors as there are a few folks out there who have faith in this person. It’d be nice if this turns out to be true, but I wouldn’t count on it until something more official comes our way. That may take quite a bit of time.

Nintendo has reaaaaaaaaally been using their YouTube accounts lately, haven’t they?

There’s a well-known character in the Zelda franchise who makes an appearance in Skyward Sword. However, the character isn’t actually in the game… it’s more of an Easter egg I suppose! Have I confused you yet?

All of this vagueness is probably bugging you, so I’ll just stop talking now. You can find out who this mystery character is after the break.

If an ESRB listing is anything to go by, Shin’en first WiiWare title, Fun! Fun! Minigolf, will be seeing a re-release on the 3DS eShop. The ratings board added the title to their database earlier today.

The ESRB provided the following description for Fun! Fun! Minigolf TOUCH!:

“Fun! Fun! Minigolf is a simulated miniature golf game in which players choose a variety of colorful courses from which to compete. The game offers 27 holes of miniature golf which can be played on 3 different continents.”

Fun! Fun! Minigolf wasn’t Shin’en most well-received game, though the studio did manage to incorporate some interesting aspects. Plus, they pulled off some of the most impressive graphics on WiiWare (and  the Wii in general).

Nintendo of America has added a new 26-page discussion to the Iwata Asks website. Rather than focusing on a particular game, this feature is much more general. Topics include meetings, development, Shigeru Miyamoto as a boss, and a whole lot more.

Satoru Iwata, Shigeru Miyamoto, and Shigesato Itoi were the three lone participants who were involved in the discussion. You can read up on the latest Iwata Asks here.

Nintendo continues to celebrate Zelda’s 25th anniversary with the following video. The Big N made a Hyrulian inspired room in honor the series’ big birthday. I sort of wish my room looked like this!
