Epic Games unlikely to support the 3DS, believes specs aren’t high enough for Unreal Engine

This information comes from Epic Games VP Mark Rein…
“No. It’s below our [minimum specifications], from what we can tell. We don’t have a 3DS, so there’s no way for us to verify that, but everything we’ve been led to believe is that it’s below our min-spec. You couldn’t do a game that looks like [Epic Citadel] on it, for example. Like I said, we really don’t know enough about it to make a formal comment, but I think if they considered that our engine would be good on it, they would have probably talked to us about it.”
This news is actually quite interesting, as prominent Epic Games developer Cliff Bleszinski recently expressed interest in the 3DS. Although, ultimately, Mark Rein and other administrative employees have the final say in terms of supporting the system.
Gaia, Cosmic Walker probably gone

Cosmic Walker, a joint venture between Gaia and Nintendo, was announced roughly two years ago. Although we never really knew much about the game, it did look promising. Unfortunately, all hope of a potential release is more or less gone at this point. Gaia’s website has disappeared, and in its place is nothing more than a message apologizing for the site’s closure. Things definitely aren’t looking good for the company right now, and considering Cosmic Walker stopped appearing in Nintendo’s financial statements last year, I’d say the project has most likely been canned.

London (6October 2010) – Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of SQUARE ENIX® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces KINGDOM HEARTS Re:coded will be released across PAL territories on 14 January, 2011 exclusively for the Nintendo DS system.
Jiminy Cricket is looking over the journal he used to document his first adventure with Sora when he discovers a mysterious message. He didn’t write it – so how did it get there? King Mickey is determined to find out, so he and his friends decide to digitise the journal and delve into its deepest secrets. Inside this “datascape” dwells a second Sora who is about to embark on a grand adventure of his very own.
