These days, it’s not too shocking when word gets out about the DS or Wii breaking a sales record considering the success both systems have experienced. This time, Nintendo’s handheld system has managed to break its own record for hardware sold in a week. According to data from ELSPA and ChartTrack, the DS sold the most for the week ending December 6th, which is more than any other console.

Yesterday, a rumor broke out that Monster Hunter 3 might not release on just the Wii. The chances of a PSP version are likely,, but now Capcom has updated the official game website with new information. The notice explains that Monster Hunter 3 will remain as a Wii exclusive – for now, that is. Though, the site update may be nothing more than an attempt to lessen any possible backlash that Capcom would receive if the game released on other platforms after all. Don’t rule out other versions just yet, such as a PSP edition, which could easily end up as a reality in the future.
