The GDC awards are a pretty big deal, because it’s one of the few gaming awards shows that isn’t chosen by the public and isn’t chosen by some big name media company (like the VGAs)– the winners of this award are chosen by developers, for developers. Winning one of these means your peers who work in the same industry as you think highly of your product, and that’s a pretty cool thing!

You can find the nominees for all of the GDC Awards this year (which happens on March 27th at GDC) after the jump.

Capcom is continuing to highlight creatures from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The latest, Great Wroggi, is a Bird Wyvern in the game.

Great Wroggi screenshots and details are posted below, straight from Capcom-Unity.

There are two main ways to collect energy for a Spirit Bomb in Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission.

The first is by playing a roulette mini-game, which hands out small bursts of energy. If you land on the same image three times, you’ll gain a bonus.

There’s another way of building the bomb attack. You can obtain energy from others via a StreetPass training feature in Story Mode. When the Spirit Bomb is ready to go, it can be used for the next battle you partake in.

Those who pre-order Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers or pick up an early launch copy will be provided with a special, limited edition boxed set of the game. Atlus will be bundling together a copy of Soul Hackers and a soundtrack CD. According to the publisher, the CD features newly arranged versions of musical pieces found in the title. The top six tracks were voted on by Japanese fans.

This bonus is limited to the retail release of Soul Hackers. You won’t be able to receive the boxed set by purchasing it through the 3DS eShop.

Quantities of the boxed set are limited. Atlus advises fans to pre-order Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers to secure their copy.

Currently, there isn’t a way to transfer save data between a retail 3DS game and a title downloaded from the eShop. In March, however, this issue will be solved.

Speaking in a short Japanese Nintendo Direct published only on the 3DS eShop, company president Satoru Iwata promised that a transfer tool will be released in no more than a couple of months. Nintendo had said last year that it was working on a solution, but did not give an exact date for the tool’s launch.

More games are coming digitally to the Japanese eShop. Pocket Soccer League Calciobit, Culdcept, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Pokémon Rumble Blast and nintendogs + cats will be available next week.
