Square Enix is doing something we often don’t see for 3DS games. The publisher is readying a Kingdom Hearts 3D “Mark of Mastery Edition” for the title’s launch.

The Mark of Mastery Edition includes a copy of Kingdom Hearts 3D, a branded clear hard case skin cover, 12 art cards, and five AR cards that can unlock rare Dream Eaters such as Meowjesty, Frootz Cat and Kab Kannon. Everything is enclosed in a magnetic box.

Square Enix says that this is the first time a Kingdom Hearts collector’s edition has been released in North America.

Consumers will be able to purchase the box set for $54.99. Kingdom Hearts 3D launches on July 31.

EX Troopers details

Posted on 12 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

A significant amount of EX Troopers details have been described from the latest issue of Famitsu. While there isn’t much information about gameplay, we do have an update on the game’s story and other area.

We’ll hear more about Ex Troopers soon, as it’ll be playable at the Capcom Summer Jam event ( held on June 30 and July 1). For now, read up on the known details below.

– School-themed story
– Looks like a science fiction Justice Gakuen
– “Manga demo” event system used between stages
– This is similar to Vita’s Gravity Rush
– May’n will be used as the theme song
– Story based on the snow pirates and Akrid aliens on EDN-3rd
– Play as Bren Turner
– Turner is a young man who has come to the academy from EDN-2nd
– TeeKee: female snow pirate, can communicate with the Akrid
– Gingira: Vital Suit that contains next generation AI and can communicate with its pilot
– Gingira calls Bren “Master”
– EDN-3rd planet has three bases with unique traits
– Choose one of these planets to be your base of operations
– The three bases figure into the story, as while Bren comes from one base, other members of the academy come from different bases
– Producer Shintaro Kojima says the project started with the hope of making a beginners’ action shooter
– Shares the same world setting as Lost Planet, but Kojima hopes players experience it lightly as a new title
– Releasing in Japan this year
– 60% complete
