Mega Man Legends 3 was cancelled quite a long ago, but the series will be represented on the 3DS… sort of.
As is revealed in this week’s issue of Famitsu, Tron Bonne and Servbot will join the roster for Project X Zone – Capcom, Namco Bandai, and SEGA’s crossover project for Nintendo’s handheld. Both characters are well-known for their appearances in the Mega Man Legends series.
Famitsu has other Project X Zone character confirmations as well. Bahn from Fighting Vipers along with Reiji Arisu and Xiaomu from Namco x Capcom will be playable.

A little bit of New Super Mario Bros. 2 information
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Looking through the transcription of last week’s Famitsu, I noticed that a couple of New Super Mario Bros. 2 tidbits were summarized from the magazine.
One point concerns Luigi. Whereas Mario becomes golden after touching a Gold Flower, Luigi becomes Silver Luigi. This is something you may have picked up on through previous updates.
Famitsu additionally covered a particular stage type. These levels have Mario initially being shot out of a large cannon. He’ll run to the right, making movement automatic. Players will need to use precise jumps to get Mario through the stage.

Nintendo celebrates the month of Mario with eShop discounts
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
This is a little bit odd since two of these games have already been discounted on the eShop (Mario’s Picross was just on sale a few days ago actually…). I guess any sale is a good sale, though!

Super Motherload cancelled for WiiWare
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Machinarium and Super Motherload were announced for WiiWare two years ago. Machinarium was cancelled for the platform a few months back, and now Super Motherload has taken the same path.
Developer XGen Studios has confirmed that the WiiWare project isn’t in the works any longer.
It was explained in a blogpost:
“Alongside this news, we’re also announcing that we no longer plan to make Super Motherload available for the Wii via Nintendo’s WiiWare service. Given our ambitions for the title, availability of HD, and current stage of the console cycle, we will instead focus on PC & alternate major console(s). Fear not; Super Motherload will still be arriving on console in the form of a digitally distributed title.”
XGen Studios hasn’t said if a Wii U version could be in the cards.

Nope, Mike Tyson never beat “Punch-Out!!”.
Tyson starred in the original NES game as the final boss. In future versions, he was replaced with Mr. Dream.
Darksiders II development “going well” on Wii U, Vigil quiet on features
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
A mini-update on the Wii U version of Darksiders II has arrived. Lead designer Haydn Dalton says that development is “going well.”
Dalton’s quote in full:
“It’s going well. Obviously we see builds pretty regularly, and from what they’re doing with the game, we’re pretty happy with it, yeah.”
Dalton mentioned that the Wii U edition will feature the same content as the other versions:
“Oh yeah! It’s the same game, but then obviously we’ll be taking advantage of the unique power that the Wii U has to offer us. It’s in our best interests to get the most out of that.”
Frustratingly, Dalton wasn’t able to say how the team will be using the GamePad. Inventory management was the only element discussed.
“Well, we can’t go into it in any detail. People have already seen that, heard about the fact that we’re going to use it from an inventory point of view. That’s all we’ve talked about. Allowing players to access stuff on the fly rather than jumping in and out of the menu, they can actually see the choices right there on the GamePad. I mean, that’s one small thing, but we’re going to be using it in a lot more interesting ways as well. That’s just one small part of it.”
