More Wii U online talk from Reggie, cross-platform play with 3DS likely different that competitors, no 3D in near future, more

Reggie on how Nintendo can explain Wii U to those who haven’t played it…
“What we are doing with Wii U is creating an ability for games to leverage two different screens; the big screen in your room, and the smaller handheld screen in front of you. By doing so it opens up all of these different experiences. The experience I use to describe it to someone is to imagine a first person shooter, where instead of constantly having to look at the screen, now I’ve got things happening all around me.
“It’s a great experience. I don’t think it’s going to be a hard sell. I think that communicating to consumers through the magic of the second window, you can have a totally unique experience, with another player still in the room… I don’t think it’s a difficult sell.”
Capcom hoping Resident Evil: Revelations graphics blow you away

This information comes from Resident Evil: Revelations producer Masachika Kawata…
“The graphics on Mercenaries are some of the best you can see at the moment. We’ve been working really hard though to make sure that when Revelations comes out next year, that will really blow people away graphically.”
What we’ve seen thus far of Revelations has been very impressive. It’s one of the best-looking 3DS games right now for sure.

Koizumi thought of Zelda: Majora’s Mask moon story while daydreaming

We all get inspiration from different places. Some of us get our ideas while driving or while taking a shower. As for Yoshiaki Koizumi… he came up with the moon element for Zelda: Majora’s Mask through a simple daydream! The Nintendo developer recently told the Official Nintendo Magazine:
“Occasionally I also take images from dreams. Perhaps I am a little bit different from Mr Miyamoto in that sense. So if I could just give an example of one of those idle daydreams that turns into an idea for a game, I would look up at the moon and think about what would happen if the moon started to fall towards Earth. From that idea we moved onto the world in Majora’s Mask which is threatened by being destroyed by the moon.”
Sengoku Basara 3 En heading to Wii

Update: Apparently this game is called “Sengoku Basara 3 Utage”. Andriasang mysteriously updated their report without providing clarification, so let’s just go with this name for now.
Capcom is readying an update for Sengoku Basara 3 for Wii and PS3, Sengoku Basara 3 En, which is set for a release in Japan this fall. Famitsu reports that the title contains new elements such as co-op gameplay and at least eight new generals. Additionally, En will feature new gameplay systems.
“En” means feast or party in Japanese. So it makes sense that the title revolves around light-hearted stories and drama/party themes.
Metal Max 2 remake in development for DS

A new Metal Max game (well, kind of) for DS is apparently in the works for the DS. Yes, DS, not 3DS! Magazine leaks from Famitsu indicate that Metal Max 2 Reloaded, a remake of the SNES game, is heading to Japan this winter. Limited edition packages will be prepared for the title’s release.
This was a pretty light leak, since actual details about the game haven’t been posted anywhere just yet. Hopefully we’ll get some details and scans soon.
