San Mateo, Calif – Sept. 15, 2009 – Prepare for epic online multiplayer action on Nintendo’s DSiWare service in the form of Bomberman Blitz. Published by Hudson Entertainment, the North and South American publishing arm of HUDSON SOFT, Bomberman Blitz will provide the classic Bomberman action that gamers have loved for more than 20 years to Nintendo’s download service available on the DSi. With Wi-Fi play and 8-player multiplayer action available, bombers around the world will be blasting each other away in Bomberman Blitz.

“Bomberman Blitz will give DSi owners an authentic, action-filled and entertaining multiplayer Bomberman experience anywhere they go,” said Mike Pepe, director of marketing at Hudson Entertainment. “With a training mode included that helps new players easily learn the ropes, both rookies and veterans alike are going to love blowing stuff up on the go!”


This tournament was actually hosted a few months ago, but Nintendo is using it over this time around.

Course: Thwomp Desert (Battle Arena)
Objective: Defeat the boss
How: Throw bombs at Giant Pokey
Tournament date: 9/15 – 10/25

“We currently have no plans to cut the price of Wii. Current talk of price cuts is rumour and speculation. This is rumour and speculation as Nintendo have made no announcements on price. Furthermore this is most likely retailer led much in the same way retailers in the UK offer price promotions on our products.” – Nintendo spokesperson

This situation is a bit odd. I wasn’t entirely sure that the Wii would be getting a price cut when the Walmart ad was supposedly leaked. However, when we saw the Toys R Us image, it looked as though the system would almost certainly be reduced to $199.99. I’m still not entirely sure what to believe, but like I said yesterday, we’ll find out for sure soon enough.
