Rumor: Metroid: Other M, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor delayed
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
Sadly, there is a rumor going around that two of Nintendo’s biggest releases this year – Metroid: Other M and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor – have been delayed. The Sin and Punishment sequel will allegedly be pushed back to June 27th, but Other M has been left without a specified date. According to Best Buy and Walmart listings, both titles will indeed be delayed, but nothing is official yet. We asked Nintendo if there is any truth to the speculation, though we were simply told that the company “doesn’t comment on rumors or speculation.”
Rumor: Next James Bond game is Bloodstone
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
HMV has listed James Bond: Bloodstone on their website, hinting that an announcement from Activision is on the way. The listing states that the game is in development for Wii, as well as the PS3 and Xbox 360. Strangely though, the title is supposedly in the racing genre. Bizarre Creations has been rumored to be developing a new James Bond project since 2008 that would mix driving elements with first-person or third-person gameplay. Might Bloodstone be that game? Only time will tell!
Rumor: Capcom reveals new Resident Evil game for Wii at Captivate 2010
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 7 Comments
In 2009, a forum member on Vandal Online claimed to have information about the next Resident Evil title for Wii. When the message was posted, the game supposedly had been in development for more than a year. According to the “insider”, it would be a spin-off, but it would feature a mix of third-person exploration/tension elements and on-rails shooting segments.
Fast-forward a few months later (Thursday) and another member says that the game was at Captivate this past week. Obviously, none of this means anything until we receive a confirmation. There is a small amount of credibility to the rumor, however, as the information comes from the same person who leaked details about Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. It should also be noted that Capcom recently said that the company has unannounced games in the works for the Wii/DS and that fans should look out for Captivate for announcements. Oh, and there’s apparently a big announcement coming this month. But, still, I repeat what I said earlier – Take this as a huge grain of salt until next week.
Rumor: Level-5 developing Time Traveler, may hit 3DS
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 5 Comments
As promised, Level-5 has revealed a new game in this week’s Famitsu. Kind of. Apparently, the magazine interviewed Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino in the latest issue, who announced that the company is working on a new game called Time Traveler. The thing is, Hino wouldn’t exactly say what platform it’s for and seemed to avoid revealing further information when the 3DS was brought up.
We’re already aware of the fact that TOSE has been asked to create numerous titles for the 3DS. Is Level-5 working on the system as well? In any case, we’ll let you know more about Time Traveler is any actual game details come in.
Rumor: Zangeki no Reginleiv hitting Europe this summer
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
Zangeki no Reginleiv is one title that I’ve never really thought had a chance to be localized. It’s violent, slightly obscure, and it just seems like a game that Nintendo wouldn’t bring over to North America or Europe. But perhaps there is a chance that it’ll be localized. Well, in Europe at least. Apparently a European Nintendo magazine claims that the game will be released this summer.Since we haven’t heard anything official from Nintendo, however, it’d be best to consider this a rumor for now.
Rumor: Nintendo customer service rep associates Golden Sun DS with 3DS?
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, Rumors | 3 Comments
This is a response from a Nintendo customer service representative regarding Golden Sun DS…
Hm…I’m not too sure about this. We don’t know what the original email said and that could have influenced the response. That said, stranger things have happened. And we all know that Twilight Princess ended up on the GameCube and Wii. So, you never know! We’ll just have to wait until E3 to hear new information about Golden Sun DS.
Thanks to 357 Lobster for the news tip!
Rumor: Developer comment points to 3DS parallax barrier screen tech
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 8 Comments
This information comes from David Perry’s Twitter account…
“Excited about the Nintendo 3DS. I’ve got the Fuji 3D Camera with the same tech. It’s cool and I’ve been wanting to see it used for games.”
Perry is most likely referring to the FinePix REAL 3D W1 camera, which used a “Parallax Barrier System” to display 3D images. Since the 3DS was announced, the system has been rumored to be using similar technology. The only question is, can we trust Perry’s words completely? We’ll have to wait a little longer for a confirmation at Nintendo’s E3 presentation in June.
Rumor: Conduit 2 hints at GDC
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
At GDC, High Voltage Software’s main highlights were The Grinder and Tournament of Legends. But there was something in particular that caught the eyes of a G4TV employee. In High Voltage’s demo room, there was a poster on one of the walls that had text that looked like the same font used in The Conduit. When asked if the company was teasing a Conduit sequel, a designer from HVS only said “There’s more to come on that!” So it’s possible that that The Conduit 2 is real, but no one is ready to talk about it just yet.
Rumor: Level-5’s announcement next month is Sengoku Baseball Team
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
Just a quick refresher: Last week, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino stated on his Twitter account that his company will be revealing a new game next month. The announcement seems like it’ll be pretty important since Hino said that “it will become an extremely anticipated title.”
We still don’t know for sure what the game is, but we might be one step closer to finding out. The Japanese trademarks for the month of March have been released and one of the trademarks registered is Level-5’s Sengoku Baseball Team. The company might be interested in generating the same type of success that they had with the Inazuma Eleven soccer games. Still, though, we’ll have to wait until next month to know for sure if Level-5’s next big title is Sengoku Baseball Team.
