Rumor: Zangeki no Reginleiv hitting Europe this summer
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
Zangeki no Reginleiv is one title that I’ve never really thought had a chance to be localized. It’s violent, slightly obscure, and it just seems like a game that Nintendo wouldn’t bring over to North America or Europe. But perhaps there is a chance that it’ll be localized. Well, in Europe at least. Apparently a European Nintendo magazine claims that the game will be released this summer.Since we haven’t heard anything official from Nintendo, however, it’d be best to consider this a rumor for now.
Rumor: Nintendo customer service rep associates Golden Sun DS with 3DS?
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, Rumors | 3 Comments
This is a response from a Nintendo customer service representative regarding Golden Sun DS…
Hm…I’m not too sure about this. We don’t know what the original email said and that could have influenced the response. That said, stranger things have happened. And we all know that Twilight Princess ended up on the GameCube and Wii. So, you never know! We’ll just have to wait until E3 to hear new information about Golden Sun DS.

Rumor: Developer comment points to 3DS parallax barrier screen tech
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Rumors | 8 Comments
This information comes from David Perry’s Twitter account…
“Excited about the Nintendo 3DS. I’ve got the Fuji 3D Camera with the same tech. It’s cool and I’ve been wanting to see it used for games.”
Perry is most likely referring to the FinePix REAL 3D W1 camera, which used a “Parallax Barrier System” to display 3D images. Since the 3DS was announced, the system has been rumored to be using similar technology. The only question is, can we trust Perry’s words completely? We’ll have to wait a little longer for a confirmation at Nintendo’s E3 presentation in June.
Rumor: Conduit 2 hints at GDC
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 2 Comments
At GDC, High Voltage Software’s main highlights were The Grinder and Tournament of Legends. But there was something in particular that caught the eyes of a G4TV employee. In High Voltage’s demo room, there was a poster on one of the walls that had text that looked like the same font used in The Conduit. When asked if the company was teasing a Conduit sequel, a designer from HVS only said “There’s more to come on that!” So it’s possible that that The Conduit 2 is real, but no one is ready to talk about it just yet.
Rumor: Level-5’s announcement next month is Sengoku Baseball Team
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors | 0 comments
Just a quick refresher: Last week, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino stated on his Twitter account that his company will be revealing a new game next month. The announcement seems like it’ll be pretty important since Hino said that “it will become an extremely anticipated title.”
We still don’t know for sure what the game is, but we might be one step closer to finding out. The Japanese trademarks for the month of March have been released and one of the trademarks registered is Level-5’s Sengoku Baseball Team. The company might be interested in generating the same type of success that they had with the Inazuma Eleven soccer games. Still, though, we’ll have to wait until next month to know for sure if Level-5’s next big title is Sengoku Baseball Team.

RPad.tv claims to have some details about the successor to the DS. Supposedly, the details come from developers at GDC. Keep in mind, however, that you should treat the information below as rumor for now.

Rumor: Metroid: Other M European release date
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 4 Comments
Although North American gamers know that they will be able to play Metroid: Other M on June 27, our friends in Europe have been left without a release date. The only thing Nintendo has said is that the game will launch in Q3 of this year. While European gamers continue to wait on a firm date, sources close to Wii-DS.nl claim that the title will be available on July 16. This should definitely be considered a rumor at the moment, but keep in mind that the release dates for Mario Kart Wii and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn were accurately predicted in the past.

Rumor: GAME LABO says Virtual Boy 2 to be a Wii peripheral, more
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, Rumors, Wii | 4 Comments
It’s been more than fourteen years since the Virtual Boy was launched, but according to GAME LABO, the device is being revived for Wii. The Japanese magazine noted in its rumors section that Virtual Boy 2 is in development for Nintendo’s console and that it will be released this year. Personally, that doesn’t seem probable, but you never know, right? GAME LABO also had a few other Nintendo-related rumors, which we’ve posted below.
* The budget-priced games from game company [S]’s [D] series releasing on 03/04 will have a brand new method of copy protection against backup devices.
* Game company [b]’s idol simulation series [i]’s latest game will be released on the Wii. It will utilize the engine from [b]’s 2008 Wii game, [H] (……)

Rumor: Pokemon Company possesses DS 2, has motion-sensing technology
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors | 4 Comments
“It’s genuinely the best thing I think I’ve ever worked with. I can tell you that it’s got a ’tilt’ function that’s not dissimilar to iPhone, but does a lot more. We know that The Pokemon Company are getting special attention with it. Any kind of March announcement wouldn’t fit with the timeline I understand the second DS to be on.” – CVG insider
Apparently, a number of studios have the DS 2 (like we reported yesterday), but the current dev kit sent out is only a prototype of the final product. Nintendo is looking for feedback about the device, but it doesn’t look like the company plans on announcing anything next month, let alone next week.
Rumor: DS 2 dev kits sent out by Nintendo, may launch this year
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, Rumors | 19 Comments
There have been a bunch of rumors lately surrounding new Nintendo hardware over the past few weeks. One employee from a major publisher even went as far as to say that Nintendo might unveil a new platform at the Game Developer’s Conference, which will be taking place in just a few weeks.
Now rumor has it that Nintendo has started sending development kits for their next DS system. These kits have, apparently, been received by numerous studios already. Additionally, if further speculation is to be believed, the company may start selling the hardware before the end of 2010. Nintendo declined to comment about the latest batch of rumors, but perhaps the DS 2 will be officially announced at GDC or E3 if the company intends to release the system this year.
