Update: Game Night is now over!

Hop into the IRC for some Mario Kart 7 fun. No registration required! The NintendoEverything community code is 22-5271-0357-0675.

Game Night is scheduled for tomorrow at 7:30 PM EDT. We’ll be playing Mario Kart 7 once again. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to let you guys know!

The second pre-recorded Nintendo Direct presentation will kick off in six hours. We’ll post the live stream right here on the main site once it begins. I wouldn’t expect any huge announcements or anything, though we’ll likely hear more about Kid Icarus: Uprising, Fire Emblem 3DS, Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, and other 3DS/Wii titles coming out through March 2012.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays, Nintendo Everything readers! We wish you all the best as we head into the new year.

As you’ve probably noticed, news on the site has been relatively quiet for the past couple of weeks. I expect this to continue into early January because most companies have shut down for the holidays.

2012 will be a very interesting year for Nintendo. The 3DS will have a full year to show us what its capable of, and hopefully that means we’ll be seeing some stellar titles. Wii U is also coming, yet we still don’t know much about the console. That’ll change a few months from now!

I might as well mention a quick site notes here. My email has been down for the past couple of days, so I haven’t been able to receive any news tips or general emails. Working on getting that back up…

Anyways, that’s all for me. Again, have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Reminder: It’s tonight!

Game Night is once again scheduled for Friday night. The time or game selection hasn’t changed. We’ll take another crack at Mario Kart 7 multiplayer, and possibly another title if there’s enough interest.

I think we all have a better understanding of how communities work and most of us exchanged friend codes last week, so things should be much, much smoother.

Join us at 7:30 PM EDT. An IRC chat post will be added to the site at that time.

Mario Kart 7 Game Night is in a few hours! We’ll kick things off at 7:30 PM EDT. I’ll also hand out NE’s community code once we’re all ready to go.

Hope to see you all there!

On Friday, I’ll finally have some free time. That means a new Game Night is on the way!

Since Mario Kart 7 came out earlier this month, I think it’d be best if we focused on that game for the entire night. We could sneak in some other titles as well, but Mario Kart 7 will most likely take up most of the evening.

I’ll post more information on Friday, including NE’s Mario Kart 7 community code. It should be a fun night, so hopefully those of you who’ve purchased the game will stop by!

I hate to say it, but usually Spike’s Video Game Awards are useless for Nintendo fans. This year should be different, though.

Zelda will be the first inductee into the Video Game Hall of Fame, Skyward Sword is nominated in four categories (including Game of the Year!), and a couple of reveals do pertain to Nintendo platforms. There’ll also be a new trailer for Darksiders II (coming to Wii U) and The Amazing Spider-Man (coming to Wii, 3DS, and DS).

The show begins at 8 PM EDT (5 PM PDT), with a pre-show scheduled a half hour before the main event. U.S. viewers can watch the VGAs on Spike TV or through the stream here. UK viewers can watch a stream here.
