Well, folks. We’re just three hours away from Nintendo’s E3 2012 media briefing. It’s been a loooooooong road to get here. There have been rumors, tons of developer quotes, and more surrounding Wii U.

We received a small tease as to what the the Wii U could do during Nintendo Direct on Sunday, but this is really the big day for Nintendo. After all, as Satoru Iwata once said, “gamers care most about games”.

Pikmin 3 and Mario are locks for the show, but what else? Will Retro Studios show off a new project? What about Nintendo’s other subsidiaries? And how much third-party support will there be? Nintendo is dedicating almost all of its conference time to games, so most – if not all – of these questions should be answered by the end of the day.

Let’s also remember the 3DS, which still needs support from Nintendo. Wii U will be taking up most of the E3 media briefing, but maybe Nintendo will quickly highlight New Super Mario Bros. 2 and a few other games. I wouldn’t mind a Zelda 3DS announcement either…

Anyway, I’ll be here as usual to cover news during and after the show starting at 12:00 PM EDT / 9:00 AM PDT. Be on the lookout for announcements, trailers, and more.

P.S. – NE shouldn’t die like it did last year, and couldn’t be accessed basically five minutes before the show. You may remember that we got things up and running just one minute before the conference started, but nothing like that should happen again. We’ve taken some precautionary measures…

Ubisoft’s E3 2012 media briefing should be of big interest to Nintendo fans. We’ll be seeing Wii U games such as Rayman Legends, Assassin’s Creed III, and more.

Ubisoft specifically said they’ll be talking about Nintendo’s console at the show, so you best tune in!

We’ll post a live-stream here if we come across any embed-able ones.

We’re a half hour away from EA’s E3 2012 show. The company will be showing footage of already-announced games, and hopefully they’ll have some reveals as well.

We’ll try to post a live-stream here at 4:00 PM EST / 1:00 PM EDT.

Okay, so technically E3 2012 doesn’t start until tomorrow, but it sure feels like the ball starts rolling today. Four press conferences are lined up throughout the afternoon/evening, two of which should be relevant to your interests.

This is the schedule in full:

Monday

Microsoft – 12:30 PM EDT / 9:30 AM PDT
EA – 4:00 PM EDT / 1:00 PM PDT
Ubisoft – 6:00 PM EDT / 3:00 PM PDT

Sony – 9:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM PDT

Tuesday

Nintendo E3 2012 presentation – 12:00 PM EDT / 9:00 AM PDT
Nintendo developer roundtable – 9:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM PDT

Wednesday

Nintendo software showcase – 9:00 PM EDT / 6:00 PM PDT

We know that Ubisoft will be featuring Wii U games at its conference, and it’s possible EA could have a few titles in store for the console as well (at least a couple of its games are coming to the Wii in any case).

I’ll be covering all of these events on both Nintendo Everything and Gaming Everything. Obviously you’ll have to head on over to GE for Microsoft/Sony updates. Nintendo updates will be primarily posted on NE.

NE may go a bit quieter than usual during the Microsoft/Sony conferences. Same goes with GE during the Nintendo events.

In any case, I’ll be both updating both sites at a rapid pace over the next few days. Join us for the ride!

It seems that this broadcast will be about a half-hour long, which is more or less in line with previous Nintendo Directs.

And hour remains!

We’re just a couple of hours away from the latest Nintendo Direct presentation. The pre-recorded broadcast will feature information from Satoru Iwata, who will reveal new information about the Wii U.

There won’t be any games shown until Tuesday, so keep those expectations in check! Should be well worth your time in any case.

We’ll post a live-stream here assuming there is one that’s embed-able. Remember: it’s at 6:00 PM EDT / 3:00 PM PDT.

Note 2: The latest episode of GameTrailers TV is about to air. No idea if any of the content will be Nintendo-related, but we’ll see. Konami’s pre-E3 show is in a half hour.

Note: Keeping this toward the top of the page for now. We’ll update this post with streaming information as we come closer to the event. It’s starting in roughly an hour and fifteen minutes.

The E3 2012 madness officially begins tonight with Konami’s own “show”. GameTrailers TV will air segments of the broadcast on its latest episode tonight at 1:00 AM EDT (the timing stinks, but oh well!), along with a few other E3 trailers and announcements. Following this, Konami’s entire pre-E3 show will be live-streamed at 1:30 AM EDT / 10:30 PM PDT.

It sounds like you’ll be able to see the event here. If not, I’m sure it’ll be available on GameTrailers.com.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will likely be featured. We’re also hoping that Lords of Shadows 2 will be officially announced and confirmed for Wii U… please.

We’ll have all of the news, trailers, and other media from Konami’s pre-E3 show on Nintendo Everything and Gaming Everything, so be on the lookout for updates.

Update: Game Night is now over!

Hop into the IRC for some Kid Icarus: Uprising/Mario Kart 7 online fun. As soon as you enter a name, you’ll be good to go!

We’ll be playing Mario Kart 7 for the first 45-60 minutes, and Kid Icarus for the latter half of the event.

I should mention that we are using NE’s community code for Mario Kart 7. It’s really the most convenient way to arrange groups, especially if we had as many participants playing as last time. The code is 22-5271-0357-0675.

You can find a list of Nintendo Everything 3DS friend codes here. I’ll be updating it regularly, but you might want to start out by adding everyone on the “Known Game Night participants” list.

Note (5/25): Game Night is in less than two hours! We’ll kick things off at 7:30 PM ET / 4:30 PM PT.

Note (5/25): Friend code listing has received an update in the forum here. You can find a rough overview of known Game Night participants.

Note: If possible, please post your 3DS friend code here. You may also want to add those included under the “Known Game Night participants” section – the list is still being updated.

Assuming I make it through the week, there will be a Game Night on Friday. As usual, it’s set for 7:30 PM EDT / 4:30 PM PDT.

We’ll be playing Mario Kart 7 in the first half of the event. Kid Icarus: Uprising rounds will take place in the second half. Setting it up this way might make things less chaotic.

If you plan on joining us, I’d greatly appreciate it if you could post your 3DS friend code here. It’ll make things much easier if people have codes exchanged before Game Night starts. You’ll have to register for our forum, but it literally takes just a minute to sign up.
