3DS eShop

The first word of 3D Shinobi III’s existence was recently leaked through a PEGI listing. Today, SEGA has made it official.

3D Shinobi III is due out on the Japanese 3DS eShop next week for 600 yen. In Japan, the SEGA Genesis game is known as “The Super Shinobi II”.

You likely know what to expect with this one: stereoscopic 3D, the ability to save at any point, and operate display and sound settings. Players can also switch to the western version, though it’s pretty much the same aside from English text.

Flipnote Studio 3D was originally scheduled to hit the European 3DS eShop this Thursday. This is no longer the case.

In its weekly Nintendo Download report, Nintendo announced that Flipnote Studio 3D has been delayed in Europe as a result of “unexpectedly high levels of user activity since the launch of the application in Japan”.

A new date hasn’t been set, but this information will be provided “as soon as possible.”

“Nintendo of Europe regrets to announce that Flipnote Studio 3D, originally due for a European launch on Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS on 1st August, will be delayed. Due to unexpectedly high levels of user activity since the launch of the application in Japan on 24th July, we decided to postpone our European launch until we can deliver the best possible service to users. We apologise for any inconvenience this delay may cause, and will announce a new launch date as soon as possible.”

Cupra Studios is now an official Nintendo developer. Presumably, this should mean that the company can make games for both the Wii U and 3DS.

Cupra’s Oscar Yanez said the following of the news:

“This is a breakthrough in the development of our company because it allows increasing our range of possibilities to create video games based on both own and third-party licenses.”
