Onitore allows you to submit data for scientific research, info on StreetPass support

Onitore’s official website has revealed an interesting piece of news about the game. It seems as though players can submit data collected in the experience for use in scientific research.
Here’s how it works: after experiencing “continuous training”, an option will be unlocked to send data to the Tohoku University Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer. You have to actually opt in to make this happen, it’s definitely not mandatory, and personal information is not included in the data.
Players can also exchange content with each other via StreetPass. Performance data will be received and registered as “Demon Training Friends”. Leaderboards are included so that users can compare their stats with family and these new friends.

WayForward working on Hotel Transylvania game
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, DS, News | 0 comments
WayForward has had a lot on its plate lately. The studio has been working on Silent Hill: Book of Memories, Double Dragon Neon, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d you steal our garbage?!, and Mighty Switch Force HD. Time to add another game to that list!
Announced today, GameMill Entertainment will publish WayForward’s Hotel Transylvania title – based on the upcoming movie – for the 3DS and DS.
The game adaptation offers lots of locations, puzzles, and boss battles. An official announcement states that it “creates an imaginative and fun way to interact with the movie characters.”
Seeing as how the Hotel Transylvania movie will be ready for September 28, the game will likely be on store shelves around that time.
For the official announcement, head past the break.
Crazy Chicken Pirates to see dual release on eShop/DSiWare
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Teyon’s downloadable title Crazy Chicken Pirates launches on August 23. Two versions of the game are planned – one for the eShop and one for DSiWare.
According to Nintendo’s website, Crazy Chicken Pirates “is a point & shoot action game where you take aim at birds as they scurry through the island and plunge bravely into the waves for a desperate counterattack. You only have 90 seconds to complete your raid by slaying pirates and collecting all hidden treasures.”
It features hand-drawn graphics, hidden coins, jewels and skulls, and a high score list.
As far as I can tell, Crazy Chicken Pirates and its 3D counterpart will play the same. The only difference is the 3D visuals found in the eShop release.

Bravely Default Collector’s Pack planned, more details
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Square Enix will release a Collector’s Pack for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy exclusively through the Square Enix e-Shop.
Although it costs twice the amount as the standard release, a bunch of items are included. A copy of the game, the game’s original soundtrack, an art album, an original protect case for 3DS, and a life size AR poster will be bundled in for 12,800 yen.
New Bravely Default details have arrived, by the way. You can check them out below.
– Job system similar to Final Fantasy V
– Has an element of “cost” for more customization
– Use Job Commands and Support Abilities in battle
– Job Commands are standard commands (magic, attacks, etc.)
– Support Abilities: abilities whose effects are automatic without command input
– Examples of the above: +10% HP, or a knight’s ability to cover a party member who’s in trouble
– One of your Job Commands can be set with an ability that you learned when playing as a separate job
– This allows a knight to use magic
– Set Support Abilities with those learned from another job
– Support Abilities use a cost system
– Players can freely set support abilities, regardless of their originating job, as long as you stay within cost
– This system lets you take a weak white mage and use support abilities to build up the character’s HP and defense strength
– Earn new abilities when your job level rises
– Job level rises as you defeat enemies and acquire “JP” (Job Points)
– Jobs can be raised up to 10 levels
– Characters engage in skits like the Tales series
– Characters will talk about the current state of the story, various side bits, and even share strategies
– “Party Chat” will appear on the lower left of the screen when a skit is available
– Press Y to see the skit
– Large number of skits
– Some rare skits included
Thanks to 4Him for the tip.
