More details on sales for Dragon Quest Mosnters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D, Guild 01

In addition to selling an insane amount of copies, Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland 3D saw a high sell-through rate in its first week on the Japanese market.
We recently found out that Terry’s Wonderland 3D moved 522,000 units between May 28 and June 3. A follow-up report from Media Create reveals that 93.96% of Square Enix’s initial shipment was sold, leading to many sell-outs at retailers.
Level-5’s Guild 01 also made its debut last week, but it wasn’t nearly as successful as Dragon Quest Monsters. Media Create data indicates that only 15,000 copies were sold with a sell-through rate of 53.16%.
Guild 01’s disappointing sales could be partially attributed to a lack of consumer awareness. A Media Create survey suggests that only 0.7% of its participants were aware of the title. Because these people said they heard about Level-5’s 3DS game through magazines, core gamers likely contributed to most of its sales.
Ubisoft delayed Rayman Origins 3DS because “it wasn’t the right window”

The 3DS version of Rayman Origins is done. The thing is, Ubisoft is just sitting on the game, waiting for it to be released.
Rayman Origins 3DS is now scheduled for November 2012.
Regarding the delay, Ubisoft senior vice president of sales and marketing Tony Key said:
“Rayman 3DS is coming out in November. It will probably be coinciding with the Wii U version. It’s absolutely going to ship. They already made the game.”
It doesn’t sound like Ubisoft will be taking the extra time to improve the game. The delay is simply a matter of promoting Rayman Legends. According to Key, Ubisoft “decided it wasn’t the right window” and “want to better align it with the communication around the next Rayman.”
