European 3DS owners should prepare themselves for another round of eShop downtime. The service will be unavailable starting August 30 at 19:00 to August 31 01:00 GMT.

There hasn’t been any news regarding maintenance in North America/Japan, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.

Originally an ancient graveyard, the tombs were subsequently claimed by the sea. As such the now exposed areas are a mix of coral shoals, wrecked ships, hidden buildings and flotsam and jetsam which has washed in with the invading waves. The tombs hold rich rewards as well as the odd buried secret for those who venture in, but for those that don’t know the dangers, a nasty fate likely awaits at the hands of the creatures which populate the various levels…

Coral outcrops are a common sight amongst the stalagmites, some may find hidden treasures where the coral has simply grown over the loot. Other rich pickings may be found in urn-like containers and other such vessels scattered about. Of course you may well find the odd weapon discarded by some warrior from the past as well, should your eyesight be sharp.

Following a few hours of downtime, Nintendo fans can once again access the 3DS eShop, Wii Shop Channel, and DSi Shop. There don’t appear to be any significant changes in any of the shops, so this was most likely routine maintenance. You have to wonder why it took so long for the services to return, though…

The Wii Shop Channel, DSi shop, and 3DS eShop are all closed for maintenance at the moment. We don’t know if there’s any significant reason behind the downtime. It’s possible that they’re just going through general maintenance. The shops will supposedly return at 8 PM EDT.

Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns comes out next month… for the DS. As far as the 3DS version goes, Natsume has said that it can be expected later this year.

Wondering why the two versions won’t be launching simultaneously? You can blame the sales of the 3DS for the delay. A representative confirmed that the company pushed back Harvest Moon for 3DS as well as their other title for the handheld, Gabrielle’s Ghostly Groove, due to poor early sales of the system.

In other news about the Harvest Moon title, you might be interested to hear that The Tale of Two Towns is for North America only. In other words, it won’t be launching in Japan.
