Shigeru Miyamoto on the sales of the 3DS…
“We’ve had a very good start with the 3DS, but it’s not completely widespread yet. One of our pet peeves is how do you convey the message? Because one has to play the 3DS to experience the 3D. I guess it depends on you guys!”
Miyamoto on games for the 3DS…
“We spent a lot of time developing 3DS, whether its games or other software. But from now we will be focussing more on gaming, we want to release lots of games this year.”
Miyamoto on Ocarina of Time 3D…
“After 13 years, there will be the children of today who haven’t experienced Ocarina of Time, it’s brand new for them. But for fans of the original, it’s a very faithful adaption.”
Saints Row: Drive By cancelled
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
I suppose THQ wasn’t too happy when people laughed at the Saints Row 3DS announcement at E3 last year. Okay, that probably had nothing to do with anything at all, but the company has confirmed that the title has been cancelled. A representative simply said, “We are not developing Saints Row: Drive By.” For now at least, this ends any possibility of seeing the franchise on the 3DS. Series followers will be forced to check out the upcoming PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 project to get their Saints Row fix this year.
Thanks to Thomas N for the tip!

Konno: Nintendo wants to “bring a bunch of new elements” for Mario Kart 3DS, may talk about the game at E3
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
This information comes from Nintendo Power…
“Now that nintendogs + cats is done, I’ve been able to spend more time and energy on Mario Kart development. We really want to bring a bunch of new elements into the game, and I’m really looking forward to the time that I can announce what those elements are. Perhaps we’ll be able to talk in more detail at this year’s E3 event.” – Hideki Konno
I have a feeling Konno was being coy here on purpose. I wouldn’t expect him to start dishing out details about the title to a magazine, after all. Mario Kart 3DS is supposed to be released this year, though, so I expect that the title will have a significant presence at E3, along with Super Mario 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, and Kid Icarus: Uprising.
