Miyamoto talks all about Mario, feels a lot of people at Nintendo get Mario, still wants to be around in 25 years, much more

Miyamoto on whether he thinks about his legacy and the things he’s done before when making new games…
“I don’t really think of things in terms of legacy or where I stand in the history of Nintendo or anything like that. The important thing for us is to make sure that we’re having fun in our job.
So I really try to focus on, again, not only myself enjoying what I’m doing, but looking at my staff, and making sure that they’re having fun in their jobs as well.
Especially when you’re working on a series, there are times when you’re doing some repetitions, some work that maybe you’ve done before. You really want to make sure that the people working on it are approaching the project in a way that they’re not getting bored or frustrated, and that they’re thinking of new things and new twists and new appeals. That’s something we look at as well.”

Robot Rescue out in Europe/Australia this Friday
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 0 comments
Teyon, a Polish video games developer and publisher, announced today the release of their logic/puzzle game Robot Rescue on the Nintendo DSiWare™ in Europe and Australia. The title will be available in the Nintendo DSi Shop starting from November 12th 2010 with the 200 Nintendo DSi Points™ price tag.
Robot Rescue is a fun and original Nintendo DSiWare™ logic game. Your mission is to free robots trapped in an evil computer labyrinth while avoiding deadly traps. Sound easy? Not so fast! Each robot shares linked controls… so when you move one, you move them all! It’ll take clever planning and nerves of steel to pull off this electronic escape. You will need to avoid many traps and use special elements!
More information can be found at the game’s site at teyon.com: http://www.teyon.com/games/robot-rescue-dsiware

Dragon Quest VI unlikely to be released in Europe
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in DS, News | 1 Comment
Remember when Dragon Quest VI was announced for the DS? Yeah, it seems like ages ago, doesn’t it? The game was finally released in Japan at the beginning of the year, but there have been no talks about bringing the title overseas. That’s actually quite odd, as Square Enix originally stated that they had plans to bring the remake to both North America and Europe.
Unfortunately, the company stated on its European Twitter account yesterday that it’s “not on the cards right now” when asked if there was any news regarding a release in Europe. And even though nothing was said about launching the game in North America, I wouldn’t be surprised if it never made it over here as well.
