Earlier today, we brought you the news that Cave Story is apparently in the works for DSiWare. We weren’t quite sure if Nintendo Power made a typo, but Nicalis confirmed just a short while ago that it is indeed happening. Believe it or not, the game is almost complete, and it’s “currently in final testing internally.” Nicalis also made mention of the European WiiWare version, of which it was said that it’s still on track to be released.

Man, I can’t believe Shantae’s almost here. I feel like Risky’s Revenge was announced years ago! Fortunately, we won’t have wait much longer… We’re less than two weeks away now. I know I’ll be downloading the game as soon as possible.

Well, this is pretty interesting news! Granted that Nintendo Power didn’t make a typo, it looks like we’ll be seeing Cave Story on DSiWare in the future. We’ll keep you posted if any additional news arrives.
