Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Wii U update released

Update: Apparently it’s not going as smoothly as they would like! Here’s the quote from Wii U community manager A_Trey_U:
Hello Wii U Community,
We are noticing some issues with the version of the patch that was posted that you guys are also reporting here on the forums. We are working with Nintendo on a resolution to this problem and hope to know more at some point tomorrow. I will keep you posted as I receive more information.
We are aware that some of the menu listings from the 360’s Revolution DLC drop are showing up in the game. This is not a confirmation of DLC for the Wii U, just a versioning problem that we are working to address.
I do not want to publish the list of known fixes until I have confirmation that they are all live. I hope to be able to do this tomorrow, but as I mentioned, this is something we are working on with Nintendo, so the timeline isn’t entirely in our hands.
Thank you for understanding.
A_Trey_U
No details on what it does other than bringing the Wii U “up to date” with the PS3 and 360, but I just wanted to let everyone know that it is live and you can go download it right now. I haven’t noticed any explicit change yet, and we won’t be getting the full details list for a little while now.

OFLC rates 3D Space Harrier
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
It appears that 3D Space Harrier will be localized for overseas territories. A rating for the game popped up on the OFLC, likely meaning that an Australian release is on the way. One would assume that 3D Space Harrier will be making its way to the North American and European 3DS eShops as well.
Interestingly, Nintendo is listed as 3D Space Harrier’s publisher. Has Nintendo decided to publish the title for SEGA in the west?

With today’s Junction Point closure news, the Epic Mickey IP was left in limbo. Junction Point was the main maker of the two Epic Mickey games, but now the team is no more.
Disney has since confirmed that it has retained rights to the franchise. For now, however, the company has no plans the series’ future. This one will likely remain dormant for a very long time, if not forever.

Epic Mickey 2 lifetime sales actually at 529,000 units in the US
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Podcast Stories, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two’s US sales have been clarified. Based on information provided by Disney and NPD, the game sold 529,000 units in November and December. We had previously heard that Disney moved just 270,000 copies, though that figure now appears to have been inaccurate.
Sales of Epic Mickey 2 along with Power of Illusion stand at 695,000 units up to the end of December. That should put the 3DS game at around 166,000 units sold in the US.
Lifetime Xbox 360 sales are set to pass lifetime Wii sales in the UK
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii | 0 comments

The Wii got off to a massive start (err– a four year long “start”) across the globe, but despite the sales lead it managed to procure it seems that sluggish sales of the console in 2011 and 2012 have allowed Microsoft’s competing Xbox to close the gap and prepare to surpass Nintendo in the coming months. According to Chart Track data, the Xbox 360 actually outsold the Wii 4 to 1 in 2012.
“The success of Microsoft and the Xbox 360 during the past two years highlights a radical changing of the guard in the game industry. Much has been made about a steady video game sales decline in the past three years. In reality the decline has mainly been due to the aging console systems and more importantly because of Nintendo’s collapse.” – DFC Intelligence, analysis firm
The real question now is whether the Wii U can perform even half as good as its predecessor.
