No transferring of VC saves from Wii to Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii, Wii Shop Channel, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
So you have a bunch of Virtual Console lying on your Wii. Maybe you’ve already transferred them to a Wii U. Now, what happens if you wanted to transfer save data when the Wii U VC service officially launches this spring?
Unfortunately, Nintendo has confirmed that gamers won’t be able to transfer saves from the Wii’s Virtual Console to the Wii U’s Virtual Console. You’ll be able to “upgrade” Wii VC games sitting on your console to the Wii U version at a later date, but you’ll have to start over from the beginning.

Rock Pocket Games is bringing its indie title Oliver & Spike Dimension Jumpers to Wii U.
Described as “Ratchet&Clank meets Zelda meets Uncharted”, Dimension Jumpers will offer adventure and platforming gameplay. Each world has a unique “Dimension Jumping” mechanic. Players will find three parallel dimensions, all of which contain an original storyline, quest-arcs, NPCs, and physical laws.
The story focuses on Oliver – a child separated from his parents as a child and “a boy with a special heritage” – and his friend Spike. Through the adventure, you’ll unravel Oliver’s past.
For more information about Oliver & Spike Dimension Jumpers, view the official website here.
