Cambridge, Mass. – November 16th, 2011 – Harmonix today announced that on November 22nd a five pack of hits from the platinum selling Canadian rock group Nickelback and Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades for Red Hot Chili Peppers tracks will hit theRock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. Famitsu often features weekly announcements for a variety of titles, but next week’s issue will apparently contain a significant reveal. Andriasang reports that the magazine “teases that there could be a surprising scoop.”

While we don’t know if the news will be Nintendo-related, there will definitely be coverage on Kingdom Hearts 3D, Zelda: Skyward Sword (strategy guides), Mario Kart 7, and Metal Max 2 Reloaded.

Expect all of the news to leak out no later than Tuesday.

The latest issue of V-Jump has revealed a new world for Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance. There’s some talk that it’s the “Pranksters Paradise”, but since we don’t have an official translation of the article just yet, take that news with a grain of salt.
