In celebration of QuakeCon, Heretic + Hexen has just been announced and released on Nintendo Switch.

These classic games originally appeared in 1994 and 1995 respectively. Now id Software and Nightdive have brought them back with tons of new enhancements and even new content. Additions include online cross-platform and local split-screen deathmatch and co-op modes, mod support, and more. The episodes Heretic: Faith Renewed and Hexen: Vestiges of Grandeur are also brand new to the package.

Terra Nil Heatwave update

Terra Nil, the environmental strategy game from Free Lives and Devolver Digital, is now offering a new “Heatwave” update.

The update brings along a whole new region to restore and heaps of new gameplay and content. It is free to anyone who owns the base game.

Undusted: Letters from the Past

Undusted: Letters from the Past is in development for Nintendo Switch, Toge Productions and 5minlab Corp just announced. The title is planned for October – we’ll pass along the exact date once it’s available.

According to the description, Undusted: Letters from the Past “is a casual game in which you clean and restore dirty items.” It’s set against the background of a woman who returns to her childhood home after her mother’s passing.

Tiny Bookshop

Skystone Games, 2P Games, and Neoludic Games made it known that they’re bringing Tiny Bookshop to Nintendo Switch. Better yet, the title is out now.

Tiny Bookshop is a cozy narrative management game. Players will stock a small bookshop with different books and items, set up shop in scenic locations, and run a second-hand bookshop while getting to know the locals.

Strange Antiquities

Today, Iceberg Interactive and Bad Viking provided the news that Strange Antiquities is slated for Nintendo Switch. We have a release date of September 17, 2025.

Strange Antiquities is a standalone sequel to the award-winning game Strange Horticulture. In the new game, you’ll become the custodian of a store dealing in occult antiquities.

Caves of Qud

Caves of Qud is in the works for Nintendo Switch, Kitfox Games and Freehold Games announced today. Those interested in the title can expect a Q4 2025 launch.

Caves of Qud is officially described as “a science fantasy roguelike epic steeped in retrofuturism, deep simulation, and swathes of sentient plants.” Players will chisel through thousands of years of civilizations while attempting to survive a simulated world of sentient plants, mutant kindred, and retrofuturist cataclysm.

OPUS Prism Peak

OPUS: Prism Peak provided an update for Nintendo fans today, as versions for both Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch are happening. The title will be out this fall.

OPUS: Prism Peak is a narrative-driven adventure game. Players will take on the role of a weary photographer who finds himself caught outside of reality, and will need to use an old camera to explore an ethereal realm as they attempt to head back home.

Go-Go Town

Cult Games, along with Prideful Sloth, have shared the news that Go-Go Town is coming to Nintendo Switch. A release is planned for 2026.

Go-Go Town features city building that “seamlessly scales deep expansion and automation, with chaotic humor that makes every day in office feel like a joy.” The Nintendo Switch version will contain all the core features of the PC edition
