Astrogun becomes official Wii U developer, bringing Project CIDER to the console

Astrogun founder Xander Davis made waves when he blasted the Wii U last year. Since then, he changed his tune and has high praise for Nintendo’s indie approach.
Davis’ new interest in the Wii U has resulted in his company becoming an official developer for the system. Better yet, Project CIDER has been confirmed for the eShop.
Davis told Nintendo Life:
“The kid in me is so thrilled to be making a game for a major Nintendo console that I dug up all my Nintendo Powers from 1988 onward and have been pouring over them for inspiration. It’s a good feeling, and I think that’s already making its way into the game design. I’m fulltime developing Project CIDER now, and the next few months are especially going to be very intense with a lot of rapid development. It’s a very exciting time.”

The Soul Saga Kickstarter has come to an end, but it was most definitely a success for developer Disastercake.
A total of $192,222 was raised over the span of a month. Disastercake’s original goal was just $60,000.

Thanks to the huge support given to Soul Saga, the game managed to reach most of its stretch goals on Kickstarter. Soul Saga will indeed come to PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and Wii U. It will also feature elements such as voice acting.

Capcom staffer says release of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara on Wii U has been “a nightmare”
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 3 Comments
There’s something unusual going on with the Wii U version of Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara. It’s the only edition of the game that hasn’t come out yet. Chronicles of Mystara hit the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in mid-June, but it’s nowhere to be found on Wii U.
So what’s the deal here? We don’t have any specifics currently, but over at the Capcom-Unity boards, staffer Rey Jimenez said that releasing the Wii U SKU “as been a bit of a nightmare for that producer.”
Jimenez isn’t involved with Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, so we’re unlikely to get further details about the situation from him. This whole thing is certainly pretty odd…

Mighty Switch Force! 2 may be heading to Wii U. A rating for the game popped up in the PEGI database earlier today.
This wouldn’t be the first Mighty Switch Force! game on the Wii U eShop. For the Wii U launch, WayForward prepared Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition, an updated version of the original.
