Wii U eShop

What’s next for the Nano Assault Neo creator, Shin’en Games? We know that the team is finishing up Jett Rocket II – The Wrath of Taikai, but what else is on the horizon?

Shin’en has a couple of Wii U announcements in store for later in 2013. It’s unclear if either title will make it out this year, however.

Maybe one of those games is a new racer. When a fan told Shin’en that he wants them to make a new F-Zero, the company responded:

Another Kickstarter game may be coming to the Wii U or 3DS eShops (or perhaps retail, though that is somewhat less likely). Metroid-vania-esque title Chasm is currently trying to reach its goal of $150,000 for release on PC, Mac, and Linux, but that hasn’t stopped the developers from discussing its possible future on Nintendo platforms,

“We’ve definitely been considering Nintendo platforms — they seem like a good home for Chasm. The difficulty more lies in getting the game ported, we’d have to hire someone that knows the platforms obviously. We’re still very early in development, so estimating those costs right now is near impossible.”

-Chasm Producer James Petruzzi

Judging by the trailers and screenshots I’ve seen of the game, this would definitely sell well on something like the Wii U! I know that I would likely pick it up (assuming it didn’t get absolutely awful reviews on PC), and I think a lot of you would as well. You can check out their Kickstarter page at the link in the first paragraph.

C-Wars developer Onipunks has officially added Wii U and 3DS versions of the game to the Kickstarter campaign. If donations hit the $65,000 point, C-Wars will most definitely hit the 3DS eShop. A Wii U version will also be made if funds exceed $80,000.

The Kickstarter campaign just began a few days ago and already managed to obtain nearly $24,000. With 26 days remaining, there’s a pretty good shot that both Nintendo-related stretch goals will be reached.

C-Wars is almost a lock for the 3DS eShop. Onipunks has strong interest in bringing its real-time strategy tower defense game to the handheld, and the studio is well on its way to becoming an approved developer.

A Wii U version of C-Wars is also possible. If the game secures enough funding through Kickstarter, we could see the game on both of Nintendo’s platforms.

You can find more details about C-Wars on the Kickstarter page here.
