Wii

When it comes to multiplatform games, the Wii version in typically placed on the backburner or is handed off to a different development team. That’s not the case with Epic Mickey 2.

With Epic Mickey 2, Wii is the lead platform for the project. Junction Point is working on the version for Nintendo’s console while Blitz Games Studios is handling the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 versions.

I suppose this shouldn’t come as a surprise, as the series did start off as a Wii exclusive. Nonetheless, it’s nice to know that the Wii version is in good hands even though Epic Mickey 2 will be a multiplatform release.

PDP created an Epic Mickey paintbrush add-on for the Wii nunchuck when the game launched a couple of years ago. It seems that the company is once again working on a few peripherals for the sequel.

First up is an updated version of the original paintbrush, which features an Epic Mickey 2 logo. The tip of the brush contains a lovely blue glow. PDP is also making a completely original nunchuck attachment based on Oswald’s remote control.

No word yet on when the accessories will be available and how much they’ll cost. They’re in the prototype stage at the moment.

Photos of the add-ons can be found in the gallery above.
