R-Type will be removed from the Wii VC this week

Do you have any interest in R-Type? If you do, you should consider purchasing the title. Like right about now. There’s only three days left to download the classic from the Wii Virtual Console service, as SEGA will be removing it on Friday.
SEGA posted on their blog today:
“If you own a Nintendo Wii and you’re at all a fan of fast-paced, old-school arcade action, take note! This is your last chance to pick up R-Type: the game is being removed from the Virtual Console store this September 30th.”
I believe R-Type should set you back around 500 points. All things considered, that price isn’t too bad. It’s a fairly good game!

Dragon Quest X is an online title, but that doesn’t mean all future entries in the series will follow the same path. During a press conference in Tokyo earlier today, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada commented on what fans can expect in terms of online play. Wada said, “We’re not making them all online. We’ll continue with a variety of developments, online included.”

G4 bashes Zelda: Skyward Sword

It’s no secret that G4 has been involved with quite a bit of Nintendo bashing in the past. I can still remember when Morgan Webb essentially called Super Mario Galaxy kiddy a couple of years ago.
And now they’re at it again! In a video that covers action games, Webb and Adam Sessler touch briefly on The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword… except their comments aren’t too positive.
