Monolith Soft, Mistwalker acknowledge localization campaign
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Monolith Soft and Mistwalker are aware of what’s happening regarding fans’s interest for Nintendo to localize their RPGs. On Twitter, Mistwalker said, “Thank you for the link. We appreciate all your support. tears…”. Meanwhile, Monolith’s Yuichiro Takeda stated that he’s pleased about Xenoblade taking the top spot on Amazon. And even Soraya Saga, the wife of Xenoblade Chronicles creator Tetsuya Takahashi, said, “Thanks a lot for hoping its North American release. : )”
With all of this support, you have to wonder how Xenoblade and The Last Story won’t make it over to North America. Will NoA really be so negligent and completely ignore their fans?

Nintendo responds to bombardment of requests over Japanese games
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Nintendo fans have been blasting the company’s American social media pages with all sorts of comments. A thread on the company’s Facebook has received over 3,000 comments while they also continue to see constant tweets and notices on their YouTube account.
It looks someone is finally taking notice. In response to the fan requests over the past several days, Nintendo of America posted a comment on both their Twitter and Facebook accounts saying “Hey fans, we appreciate your enthusiasm. Look for more updates to come soon!”
Now, whether or not that actually means we’ll be seeing Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower is unknown. Perhaps they’re just trying to take some steam out of the campaign!
NoA customer service rep says Xenoblade is coming to North America
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
For as long as I live, I won’t trust anything a Nintendo customer service says. I feel like they just look up a game on their database or official website and provide a standard, pre-determined response to fans.
However, it is somewhat interesting to hear that a representative has said that Nintendo still plans on releasing Xenoblade – they’re calling it by the title it was announced as, Monado: Beginning of the World – to North America. Now whether that’s actually true is anyone’s guess, but I know that fans would certainly be pleased!

Rumor: Nintendo France says The Last Story is heading to Europe
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii | 0 comments
Ludovic Lamouroux, Nintendo France Product Director, has apparently said that The Last Story is in fact heading to Europe. Since the translation is a bit and I can’t track down the original source, consider this a rumor now. I personally won’t believe it until we hear an official announcement.
“Xenoblade will arrive after the holidays on Wii, like The Last Story in 2012.”
If this is true, then it’d be yet another amazing move by Nintendo of Europe. The only other game they’d need to localize is Pandora’s Tower. Now, imagine if North America ends up not receiving any of these titles… that’s a bleak future.

Go Vacation screenshots
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Screenshots, Wii | 0 comments
I’m not sure if it’s the lack of Wii games, but this actually looks halfway decent. I didn’t say much about it at E3 since there was just way too much to cover and more important games. In case you’re wondering, Go Vacation offers a ton of activities to take on and explore an open world. I doubt this will be one of the higher-quality Wii games we’ll see this year (though there won’t be much to choose from…), but it could be fun.
