Joel Nyström, CEO and founder of Ludosity divulged a few new details about the Wii U version of Ittle Dew while speaking with Nintendo Life. Here’s the latest:
– Leaderboards for Wii U still being decided on
– GamePad shows the map
– Map is updated in realtime as you progress and uncover more of the world
– Press the minus button on the GamePad to switch the screens
– Doing so will move the action to the GamePad and map to the TV
– Supports Wii U Pro Controller and Classic Pro
– Game isn’t coming to the 3DS
– “We would have to port the entire game over without any middleware, and that takes a lot of time. It’s really too bad that Unity decided to not support the 3DS.”
– “Nintendo are great to work with – really approachable and helpful even to small studios like us. But really, there are only a handful publishers out there that aren’t. Most publishers have a strategy for indie titles these days.”
– Wii U version “ready for submission at a day’s notice.”
– Waiting for Unity to come out of beta
– Game could be out within a month

Ripstone says Nintendo has been changing tech policies more swiftly, Pure Chess on Wii U/3DS could support cross-play with PlayStation platforms

Eurogamer recently caught up with Phil Gaskell, creative director and co-founder of Ripstone. Gaskell shared some insight into the company’s relationship with Nintendo and noted how the Big N has been “a lot swifter” in changing its technical policies.
Specifically, Ripstone was told very quickly that cross-play is supported – even with non-Nintendo systems. Therefore Wii U and 3DS owners will be able to play Pure Chess with iOS and Android users online. Ripstone is also looking into the possibility of supporting the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita with cross-play.
According to Gaskell:

Inafune would be open to Capcom publishing Mighty No. 9
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News, Wii U eShop | 10 Comments
Working with a publisher isn’t something that Comcept is forced to consider. Thanks to generous donations received on Kickstarter, the game can be released independently.
But let’s talk hypotheticals. Say Capcom were to approach creator Keiji Inafune and the team at Comcept about handling publishing duties. Is this something Inafune would be open to? To put it simply: yes.
Inafune told Game Informer this month:
“I would hear their terms. If they had the best terms, I would go with Capcom. There is no reason not to publish with Capcom, and I certainly don’t feel like there’s a reason that I have to publish with Capcom. Literally, it would be a very cut-and-dried business negotiation. If they had the best terms, the logical businessman in me would say, ‘Yes, let’s go with them.'”
What would make Capcom publishing Mighty No. 9 particularly interesting is how Inafune would be returning to the company he started out with (and eventually left), in a sense. But again, the game could very well end up without a publisher – and no one would really mind that.
The Fall reaches Wii U stretch goal on Kickstarter

The Fall has reached its Wii U stretch goal on Kickstarter. That target was set at $29,000, but more than $35,000 CAD has been raised in the campaign thus far.
It may not have actually mattered had The Fall missed out on its Wii U stretch goal. Previously, developer Over the Moon gave a strong indication that the game would come to the eShop before the necessary funds were obtained.
The Wii U version of The Fall “just shortly after the initial PC/Mac release,” according to Over the Moon.
Thanks to Jake for the tip.
