Two Tribes posts official notice on shelving Toki Tori 2’s Wii U level editor, giving out Steam codes to compensate
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Two Tribes has officially announced that the level editor originally planned for Toki Tori 2 on Wii U is “in the fridge” – or shelved. After considering the situation from a business perspective and looking at the technical and design problems, the studio felt making such a decision would be for the best.
Wii U owners won’t be left entirely empty handed, however. Those who have purchased the game can receive a free Steam code, which does come with the level editor.
You can find more details and gain further insight into Two Tribes’ decision by checking out the company’s notice here.

The Fall scheduled for April 2014 launch on Wii U
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
In the past, Over The Moon said the Wii U version of The Fall would launch “just shortly after the initial PC/Mac release.” That’s currently scheduled to happen in March of next year. The Wii U version is apparently set for release one month later – April 2014.
Of the recently confirmed Wii U version of The Fall, Over the Moon’s John Warner commented:
“I’m really excited to see The Fall on the Wii U. As the game was very Metroid inspired, a Nintendo platform seems like an obvious fit. I can’t wait to see how we can best use that fantastic controller.”

Joel Nyström, CEO and founder of Ludosity divulged a few new details about the Wii U version of Ittle Dew while speaking with Nintendo Life. Here’s the latest:
– Leaderboards for Wii U still being decided on
– GamePad shows the map
– Map is updated in realtime as you progress and uncover more of the world
– Press the minus button on the GamePad to switch the screens
– Doing so will move the action to the GamePad and map to the TV
– Supports Wii U Pro Controller and Classic Pro
– Game isn’t coming to the 3DS
– “We would have to port the entire game over without any middleware, and that takes a lot of time. It’s really too bad that Unity decided to not support the 3DS.”
– “Nintendo are great to work with – really approachable and helpful even to small studios like us. But really, there are only a handful publishers out there that aren’t. Most publishers have a strategy for indie titles these days.”
– Wii U version “ready for submission at a day’s notice.”
– Waiting for Unity to come out of beta
– Game could be out within a month
