Pikmin 3 gets first score in Famitsu

There’s only one review score in this week’s Famitsu, but it’s a doozy. The magazine handed out the first verdict for Pikmin 3, awarding it three 9’s and a 10. That comes in for a total of 37 points out of a possible 40.

Nintendo contacts Construct 2 engine dev

Scirra’s Construct 2 engine allows for games to be made across a whole bunch of different hardware. PC, iOS, and Android are just a few of the supported systems.
Construct 2 is now relevant to Nintendo, as news has spread today that the company has reached out to Scirra. Specifics regarding the conversation are unknown, but it could be a pretty big deal to have Construct 2 working on Wii U.

We’ve yet another indie game headed to Wii U with the help of fundraising stretch goals, this time the Castlevania-inspired Odallus: The Dark Call. Take a look at the screenshot above (or the details below!) for a better idea of what this game is like, and click here to support the game’s $55,000 Wii U stretch goal.
According to the IndieGogo page, the game will feature non-linear levels, five different areas, hordes of demons, and huge bosses. It’s estimated to launch in mid-2014.

More Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC news planned for Evolution Championship Series

News regarding additional DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us will be revealed during the Evolution Championship Series, NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon confirmed through Twitter.
He wrote:
Today, we're announcing, that tomorrow (Tuesday) we're announcing, that at EVO we will be revealing new info on future INJUSTICE DLC.

Evo 2013 will be taking place between July 12 and July 14. If I were to guess, we’ll be hearing something about a new character.

GamesIndustry recently caught up with three major third-party publishers to discuss Wii U. Ubisoft, Activision, and EA shared a few thoughts about the console while speaking with the outlet.
One of the more troubling items to emerge from the discussion concerns ZombiU. The game wasn’t even close to being profitable, according to Ubisoft. The company therefore has no plans or interest in making a sequel currently. ZombiU’s poor performance was also one of the reasons why Rayman Legends turned into a multiplatform title.

Bloodbath in the works for Wii U

Young Justice: Legacy developer Freedom Factory is working on a new project for Wii U titled “Bloodbath”. A trailer was released a few months ago, but the game only recently popped up in the news.
An official game description reads:
BloodBath is a 3rd person Hack’n’Slash set in a dystopian future where a violent bloodsport is the only outlet for the frustration of society. Select your Pit Dog and prepare to fight all around the world against merciless adversaries in dangerous arenas full of death traps and hazards. Enjoy a Multiplayer experience like no other in “Bloodbath”

Pikmin 3 details – 1080p, worldwide leaderboards, more

Another wave of Pikmin 3 details have come in.
First, the back of the game’s Japanese boxart appears to reconfirm 1080p support and worldwide leaderboards. We previously knew that Pikmin 3 would support the ability to upload scores online of some sort.

– Improved AI for the Pikmin
– Pikmin may become frustrated, take their own initiatives, etc.
– White and purple Pikmin only appear in multiplayer
– You can point your Wiimote at the Wii U GamePad screen

– You collect abilities such as increased whistle range or shield
– New nice transition-landscape sections
