[Video Feature] Eggbusters – New Super Mario Bros. U
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Videos, Wii U | 0 comments
A 2D game doesn’t seem like a great candidate for glitches… does it? Turns out that New Super Mario Bros. U has a handful of em to check out, so I tackle two of them in this new episode of Eggbusters. The first glitch doesn’t go quite as planned, but all things considered I’d say that the second one easily makes up for the frustration. Check it out! (pah!)

Nintendo refunds consumers $12 for $60 LEGO City eShop purchases
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Remember how Wii U users were at first forced to pay $60 for a digital copy of LEGO City: Undercover? It was an error on Nintendo’s part that was quickly fixed, but consumers who did pay the initial amount made out pretty well.
After contacting Nintendo, affected Wii U owners have received a $12 refund on their credit card or eShop account depending on the form of purchase. Additionally, Wii U Deluxe Set owners maintain the extra $10 worth of points in the Digital Deluxe promotion. Not too shabby!
Thanks to Jake for the tip.
Nintendo retail flyer: “Why Wii U?”

“Why Wii U?”, Nintendo asks. What separates a Wii U from a Wii and what makes it better?
Nintendo has outlined the (fairly obvious) differences between the two systems through a retail flyer:
Saw this “Why Wii-U?” flyer at retail today from Nintendo. Speechless. twitter.com/geoffkeighley/…

My question for Nintendo: what’s the point of this? Maybe it’ll help the uninformed consumer…

Despite having been out for just a couple of weeks, Amazon has already dropped the price of The Amazing Spider-Man: Ultimate Edition. It’s currently available for $30 with free shipping.
Skylanders Giants is another game on sale at the moment on Amazon. The Wii U, Wii, and 3DS Starter Kits are all going for $40. You’d be saving $35 (nearly 50%) with a purchase.

LEGO City: Undercover not accepting set codes?
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Podcast Stories, Rumors, Wii U | 1 Comment
LEGO City: Undercover lets players enter 7-digit codes from certain LEGO retail sets. Players unlock the feature later in the game – around the 6th or 7th chapter – where a computer/ATM outside of the police station allows for entry.
Apparently the functionality is causing issues from some players. Reader Antonino Valenza tells us that his game isn’t accepting codes that he’s been entering. Has anyone else been experiencing similar problems?
