Wii U

Might the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X be making its way overseas? A listing from one retailer seems to be pointing in that direction.

An entry for Square Enix’s RPG has been discovered on Amazon France. A release date isn’t listed, but the product page does sport a PEGI 12 rating.

Keep in mind that this latest finding shouldn’t be taken as a confirmation that Dragon Quest X will be released in the west. Amazon France has listed some pretty crazy things in the past such as Kid Icarus: Uprising for Wii U.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted U comes with the Ultimate Speed Pack, which was previously released on other platforms. But after the game launches in just a couple of days, future downloadable content is unlikely to arrive on the platform.

Take a look at the following Twitter exchange between a fan and Criterion’s Alex Ward:

Ward’s comment implies that Most Wanted U won’t be receiving any DLC going forward. That means fans won’t be able to get their hands on other packs including Terminal Velocity, Movie Legends and NFS Heroes on Wii U.

Looks like MegaMan… Smells like MegaMan… But it’s not MegaMan.

We have heard an almost obscene amount of Kickstarter gaming projects announce their support for Wii U if certain funding goals are met, but today we’ve got one for you from a developer that has recently been in the news:

Yacht Club Games was formed just recently by former members of the studio behind Mighty Switch Force!, WayForward Studios. Their first game will be called Shovel Knight, and it focuses on sidescrolling action, helmed by a knight who wields a “ShovelBlade” to destroy enemies. Sounds pretty decent, right? After all, we know these folks can make a mean platformer.

Initial news was that the game would be for PC only, but the game’s Kickstarter page says that if they hit their fundraising goal of $75,000, the game will make its way to 3DS and Wii U as well. Additionally, you can pledge $15 right now to “reserve” yourself a copy of the game on 3DS or Wii U when it comes out this coming September, so it’s almost like you’re just buying the game in advance!

Warner Bros. Interactive has confirmed Black Adam as Injustice: Gods Among Us next playable character. A tweet from the game’s official Twitter account also contains a screenshot of Black Adam in action.

Origin has a massive day-one discount for Need for Speed: Most Wanted U. The game is currently available for $30 plus tax. Sweetening the deal is free shipping.

We don’t often see such large sales for newly released items. I doubt we’ll see Most Wanted U drop in price quickly, so take advantage of the deal while you can.
