Wii U

Scribblenauts Unlimited is coming on in Europe next year. That’s quite the “delay”, given how the game just launched in North America this week.

So what’s taking so long? 5th Cell boss Jeremiah Slaczka won’t say exactly, but the wait isn’t a result of language localization issues.

“It’s due to stuff I can’t talk about until 2013. Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts were released NA and EU the same day. Trust me. I want your money. It’s due to things outside of development.”

We should be receiving more specific news in the near future. Scribblenauts Unlimited publisher Warner Bros. Interactive confirmed to Rock, Paper, Shotgun that “details about the European distribution of Scribblenauts Unlimited are coming soon”.

Nintendo of America director of product marketing Bill Trinen, who is quickly becoming a very familiar face with the company, has addressed a few topics about Wii U – and even the Wii as well.

In the interview roundup below, you’ll find out what Trinen said about Nintendo TVii’s absence at the Wii U’s launch, what lies ahead for the console, and more. Trinen also confirmed that, as expected, Nintendo is no longer developing any Wii games internally.

Scribblenauts Unlimited made it out in North America this month. European gamers will need to wait until 2013 to play the game.

5th Cell says Scribblenauts Unlimited will be hitting the continent on an unspecified date next year. Further information is not available at this time.

The Wii U is capable of showing 3D visuals on the GamePad. Assassin’s Creed III in particular supports such functionality.

By choosing a stereoscopy setting, you can initiate a 3D display. This isn’t like the 3DS tech, however – you’ll need a pair of green and magenta 3D glasses to view the effect.

Options include “off”, “inficolor”, “side-by-side” and “top-bottom” displays. Players can also set the 3D strength on a scale of 0-10.

4A Games chief technical officer Oles Shishkovtsov made headlines this week due to a comment made about the Wii U’s CPU. Shishkovtsov said that its tech is “horrible” and “slow”.

Now THQ’s Huw Beynon has clarified the situation. Beynon acts as a representative of 4A Games and the Metro franchise.

Speaking about Shishkovtsov’s remarks, Beynon said:
