Quite a good comparison, no?
Updated Wii U controller shows analog sticks and more

Update: Original Twitter account has been shut down. Hmmm…
The image above comes from a QA tester over at TT Games, who posted the image above to his Twitter account.
While not an extreme makeover, it does show quite a few new things. Most significant is the addition of analog sticks that have been substituted for circle pads – a much welcomed change. The layout of some buttons have been shifted around as well.
What do you think? Do you prefer the (slightly) new design?
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Gearbox loves Wii U controller, teases online functionality, much more

Gearbox Software has been one of the biggest supporters of Wii U since its unveiling at E3 2011 last year. The studio is working with SEGA to bring its hardcore first-person shooter, Aliens: Colonial Marines, to the platform in the near future.
In a new interview with GameSpot, Gearbox president Randy Pitchford once again threw a ton of praise at the system.
Pitchford first commented on the console’s tablet-esque device, which he believes is the best shooter controller he’s ever seen from Nintendo.

Yuji Naka excited to see what Nintendo has in store with Wii U
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Count Yuji Naka as one of Wii U’s early supporters. Naka hasn’t said if he’s working on a project for the platform, but he’s “really looking forward to seeing what Nintendo has in store”.
Naka told GamesIndustry:
“I always get very excited when thinking about the next round of next-gen hardware that’s coming and what kind of unimaginable specs they could have. Wii U is taking a completely new and innovative approach, so I’m really looking forward to seeing what Nintendo has in store there.”
Yuji Naka was the head of SEGA’s Sonic Team and one of the original developers of Sonic the Hedgehog. He’s since moved on to form his own studio, Prope.
We’re still waiting to see one of Prope’s more promising games on the market. Rodea the Sky Soldier, originally announced for Wii and 3DS, still hasn’t seen release. One can’t help but wonder if the title could end up on Wii U.

Peter Molyneux wants to be blown away by Wii U at E3 2012
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
After staying with Lionhead Studios for fifteen years, Peter Molyneux left the company just a couple of months ago. Now he’s able to completely speak his mind!
What does Molyneux hope to see at this year’s E3? Among other things, he says “Nintendo’s slightly lack lustre Wii U is going to have to blow us away with better specs and great 1st party line up.”
I’m sure Nintendo won’t talk about the Wii U’s specs next month, but they’ll certainly showcase a heavy amount of software. Maybe some of Molyneux’s initial disappointment will melt away after E3.
