According to the magazine, the game will feature a “Haunted House” mode. This has players progressing through a haunted mansion, as you would expect. A rating will be provided at the end of your journey, which is based on the amount of fear you encountered.
Famitsu also mentions enhanced graphics and new controls for the PlayStation 2 remake.
Project Zero 2: Wii Edition is scheduled for June 28. It’ll cost 6,800 yen. The title is also due out in Europe/Australia this year.

Ubisoft has “big plans for Wii U”, interest in being “the number one-third party” on console

Ubisoft has “big plans for Wii U” according to Tony Key, Ubisoft’s SVP of sales and marketing. Key outlined the company’s interest in the console in an interview with Gamasutra.
Key said:
“We have big plans for Wii U. Our intention is to be the number one third-party on Wii U, just like we were on Kinect and just like we were on 3DS.
“We’ve always had a really close relationship with Nintendo, so I’d venture to say that we did have an advantage in getting dev kits earlier than other people. I’m not saying we got them earlier than everyone, but I do think we got them early.
“They came to us and asked us to make Red Steel. The thing is, once these dev kits show up in the building, you’ve got these other teams peeking around the curtain going, ‘Hey, what’s that?’ Before you know it, there’s three projects being developed for the Wii in that one room, and then another guy from another studio just happens to be visiting and brings back some ideas…”
Key also mentioned how Ubisoft was able to prepare a significant amount of titles for the Wii’s launch. This stemmed from developer interest when Red Steel was being made for the system. Eventually Ubisoft ended up with seven launch games for the Wii.
According to Key:
“We do encourage that kind of experimentation, especially if we think the platform is commercially viable. [Ubisoft CEO] Yves Guillemot will say, ‘Let’s put a few guys on it, and let’s try it.’ So if they come up with a great idea, then we’ll roll with it.”
“That’s what happened on the Wii; we were so engaged with it after getting the kits for Red Steel that suddenly Rayman came out of that, and before you knew it we had seven titles in the launch window because the dev studios got so excited about the hardware.”

Spector on Epic Mickey 2’s musical cut-scenes – “I want everybody to just take a chill pill and relax”
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
One of the most surprising elements of Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is the incorporation of musical songs. You won’t be rocking out during the game, but because all of the characters are fully voiced, it has given Warren Spector an opportunity to add in musical numbers during cut-scenes.
Spector has been taken aback by the reaction to this, as some of the title’s followers seem to be misunderstanding the team’s approach to the songs. He hopes people will realize that they’re trying “to honor a part of Disney’s history” in “a fun way”, though ultimately players will be able to skip these sections if they do not find them interesting.
“I’ve been itching to talk about the game and the songs for a while. When we announced the game, I sort of threw it out there, because I’m so proud and so happy. I saw the look of fear in people’s eyes. I’m like, what the heck is going on? Doesn’t everybody love musicals? I realised I had to explain things.
“I look at guys like you in the audience on the press side, and similarly at Disney when I look out at execs, about 70 per cent of them are going, yeah. About 30 per cent are going, are you kidding?”
“I just want to see how people respond to the music and the songs. They’re not interactive by design. Later on, I hope maybe we get to do that in some other game, sometime in the future. But I feel like I have to reassure that 30 per cent that it’s okay. If you don’t want to experience that part of the game you can just bypass it.
“I’ve seen the look on people’s faces. I’m reacting to something very specific and real I’ve seen, not worried that there might be a specific reaction. I’m reacting to the reaction, okay? It’s a change. Earlier, I didn’t expect that reaction, so I was just throwing it out there. Now I feel like I have to tell people, it’s okay.
“I don’t think I was clear at the start it wasn’t singing into a microphone or beatmatch. I should have been clear about that, and I wasn’t.
“I want everybody to just take a chill pill and relax about this. I’m not going to make you sing into a microphone. I’m not going to make you dance in front of your TV. I’m not going to make you beatmatch. This is just a fun way to honour a part of Disney’s history. If you don’t like that part of Disney’s history, skip it.”
