Fire Emblem Engage details “Break” in battle
Nintendo and Intelligent Systems shared more details on Fire Emblem Engage today, and we’ve got a bit of news about weapons and the “Break” feature in battle. Serenes Forest provided a translation of what was shared on social media.
Players will find that every character is capable of using various weapons. Like in other Fire Emblem games, weapons can have advantages or disadvantages against each other so it’s important to choose advantageous weapons when attacking.
Here’s how it works:
- Swords > axes, axes > lances and lances > swords
- Body arts > bows, tomes and daggers. It’s important
As for the “Break” feature in Fire Emblem Engage, this happens when players hit an enemy with an advantageous weapon. After an enemy is inflicted with “Break”, it cannot counterattack until the end of the next fight. One of the Twitter posts mentions that defeating enemies by considering the relationship of weapons is crucial to battles.
