Let’s Talk #30: What are you playing? – November 2015

On Thursday, Nintendo finally presented a new Nintendo Direct. Fans were waiting a long, long time for this one.

The new Nintendo Direct was light on brand new game reveals, but there were still plenty of noteworthy announcements. Zelda: Twilight Princess HD was finally confirmed. The original Pokemon games are finally coming to the 3DS Virtual Console in February. Two Dragon Quest games are heading west next year. And the big one: Cloud is coming to Smash Bros. There were other things mixed in as well like Splatoon gear/maps, new/free DLC for Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, and Pokemon Picross. Heck, we even saw a few more seconds of Zelda Wii U footage, which I think came as a surprise to many.

What did you guys think of the latest Nintendo Direct? Are you satisfied with what was shown? Or were you left wanting more? Any thoughts on specific announcements? Let us know in the comments below!

Highlights from last week’s topic: What are you playing? – November 2015

Burning Gravity

I was playing Tokyo Xanadu, but dropped it once Trails in the Sky SC came out. I’ve been super busy, but most of my time has been spent playing that, since it’s super good.

I did dabble a bit with Yoshi’s Woolly World and continue to play some Smash when I can, but for now, it’s all Trails SC. I’ll be picking up a few games the next two weeks, namely Rodea, Stella Glow, and StarCraft II, but I can’t see myself playing much except StarCraft II–the backlog is too real, and I’ve got too much going on.

So I’ll probably keep it super light what with no 3DS/Wii U releases besides those really interesting me, and then pick things up once Xenoblade X comes out, along with Devil’s Third and Genei Ibun Roku #FE… so i guess December is going to be super busy for me, gaming-wise, haha. But I’m looking forward to it!

Lord Drieg

As far as non-Nintendo titles go, I’ve been playing Batman: Arkham Knight, Transformers: Devastation, and Halo 5: Guardians on my Halo 5 Xbox One. Oddly, Transformers is the game I’ve been having the most fun with as Riddler is so annoying and Halo will be the same as always.

On Nintendo, I’ve been hunting Monsters in MH4U, Smashing on 3DS and Wii U, and battling on in LBX. I recommend LBX to anyone who misses the old Custom Robo/Medabots games. It’s fun but unique in its own way.

Mr Ninty

i’m playing Zelda: wind waker HD. i got it from a friend who bought the Wind Waker console and a copy of the limited edition with ganon figure. He gave me the download code on its release day, but i never played it. I have started because im going with friends to the Zelda symfonie and i wanted to know more about the series. In due time i will have Fatal Frame and XCX and in 2016 Star fox and Zelda U.
With the release of Fallout 4 i might buy a PS4, but i feel that the NX is so close and that i will be a better investment.
a bit offtopic, but i just realized. If the NX is a hybrid( with a DS slot) you will basically have a console with 1000+ launch line-up.

I am still dabbling with Super Mario Maker every now and then. Also, since I am a total fan I am playing the solo campaign in Tri-force heroes, even though at first I cancelled my pre-order lol. Still need to pick up Yo-kai watch and get started on that. Considering the number of things that are coming out in the beginning of next year, I better get on these games and finish them quick cause I’m gonna be busy at the start of 2016.
