“Online co-op isn’t just a ‘oh, let’s just tuck that in there.’ There’s a ton of design work on top of the technological implementation that would have to be done. Then there’s online testing to do.
Online is really, really hard in anything and should never be done as an afterthought. And in 2009, I don’t think it’s absolutely required in every game. How many Wii titles have online co-op, even from Nintendo?” – Christian Svensson, Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development
Online co-op is something that I would like to see more Wii games take advantage of. However, even though Spyborgs doesn’t support it, I’m still interested in checking out the final product.
The undisovered secret in Mega Man 9 has been teased for a long time. The mystery actually goes all the way back to last year. However, Capcom hasn’t budged in terms of revealing the mystery. Even so, the company’s Senior Manager of Community, Seth Killian, is assuring fans that the secret “is still out there.” At the same time, he doesn’t want anybody to kill themselves searching for it.
“I wouldn’t say it’s simple, but, yeah, don’t kill yourself. It’s notable, but it’s not…You know, it all started with a post where I just mentioned it…I was like, ‘Oh, there’s at least one thing that I know about that hasn’t been discovered yet. But the rest is internet Mega Man history where people just exploded and were like “We gotta find it” and it’s great. The good part about it is people have found a ton of amazing stuff about the game that I don’t think might have been dug up for a long time without everybody digging. And I’m not trying to kill anybody but it is real, it is still out there, and I do predict someone will actually find it someday…I have no plans to tell anybody…Maybe on my death bed.”
I must admit that I’m very excited for Wii Sports Resort…Who’s planning on picking the game up?
This information comes from the latest Nintendo Power

– Improved melee combat
– Castlevania-style map tracks progress on the touch screen
The Conduit’s performance in the market will almost surely be examined for the next few weeks. As has been reiterated time and time again, developers/publishers may be influenced based on how well the game sells. So far, we know that under 72,000 copies were sold in the United States thanks to NPD sales data from June. However, even though there are no exact numbers yet, we can also get a pretty good idea of The Conduit’s sales in the Europe. Data provided by GfK-ChartTrack shows that, unfortunately, it isn’t off to the best of starts. On the overall charts, The Conduit debuted at the 29th position and only the 8th spot on the Wii charts. We’ll have to see how the game continues to sell over the next few weeks, but this probably isn’t the way SEGA was hoping the game would launch over in Europe.
OverClocked ReMix today released its 14th project album, Final Fantasy IV: Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption. The album consists of forty-six arrangements of composer Nobuo Uematsu’s original score to the Square Enix game Final Fantasy 1V.
The album is available for free download at http://ff4.ocremix.org.
Echoes of Betrayal, Light of Redemption is not affiliated with or endorsed by Square Enix.
More than thirty-three artists participated in honoring Uematsu in this all-encompassing project which contains of over three hours of music. The three-disc project follows three acts; Betrayal, Strife, and Redemption. The discs correspond with the drama of the story and the tracks are arranged as a narrative, culminating in the two-part finale of act three. The musical style of the project is best classified as a rock opera, but a variety of genres are represented in the album, enhancing the breadth of the original score.
