“We’re VERY close to putting the finishing touches on Cave Story. And by very close, meaning the game is very done and we’re doing our best to bug-test, fix and finish all the necessary work that is involved with finalization the North American version. (yes, after that we quickly move onto the European release).” – Cave Story blog

I can’t wait for Cave Story to finally release on WiiWare…And I know I’m not the only one. Luckily, gamers living in Europe won’t have that long of a wait following the game’s arrival in North America.

Note that these screenshots are apparently from the 360/PS3 versions.

A 50-year-old man was arrested today for beating his 6-year-old son due to a poor video game performance. There’s no word yet if anything else provoked the father’s actions. Terry Taulbee now resides in a county jail and has received a domestic violence charge. Taulbee was said to have bruised his son in the lower back, buttocks, and hand. Obviously, the boy has been suffering from a good amount of pain, especially on his hand which has swelled. According to the son’s mother, Taulbee simply became angry because his boy was not playing well while playing a video game.

“There is not gonna be a Terminator Salvation for Nintendo Wii. I’m sorry the press release wasn’t clear about that. We actually explored the possibility to develop the game on Wii and PS2 but then we dropped the idea and concentrate on the next-gen consoles and PC.” – Vice President of Halcyon Games, Cos Lazouras

I was never expecting Terminator Salvation to end up on the Wii. It is a shame, however, that a Wii version was never developed, especially since the idea was considered.
