“I’m sorry to hear that you’ve experienced difficulties with using Club Nintendo. As with any large online undertaking, we’re facing some growing pains, but I want to assure you that we have a team dedicated to improving the service and making it work for all users. We are currently doing maintenance on the Club Nintendo site which should resolve any problems you’ve experienced. As we don’t yet have an estimated time when the Club Nintendo site will be back up, we ask that you please keep checking back. Thank you for your patience!” – Nintendo representative
Club Nintendo has really been a mess since it launched, so it’s to be expected that it is undergoing maintenance. I’ve heard of all types of issues popping up including games missing from survey lists, games not showing up at all, and the lack of downloaded Wii content not appearing for everyone. Nintendo most likely wanted to make sure they kept their promise and launch Club Nintendo by year’s end, but it hasn’t been very cooperative since it went live.

Unfortunately, I’ve come across a problem that has been happening for about a week or two with our contact form. Without boring you all with technical talk, basically, I was not receiving more than half of the emails that were submitted through the contact form. So, if you submitted something and were anticipating a reply, know that I don’t hate you…It’s just that I never received your email!
The problem has been fixed now and I don’t believe that the issue will arise in the future. But again, if you sent in an email and were expecting a reply, please know that you can now resend the message!
A few old and a few new in this batch. Old images are now watermark free.
It wasn’t a very Merry Christmas for one couple yesterday. Randi Young and Heath Blom were both arrested after fighting and bruising each other the Wii. Young gave the system to Blom, her boyfriend, for Christmas, but according to police, that’s not what he had wanted. Instead, Blom was hoping that he would receive a remote-controlled airplane.
Blom denied that the police were incorrect and said that he had asked his grandparents to buy him the airplane for his birthday.
He claimed, “You can’t fly an RC plane in the snow.” He did, however, admit that he was not happy with the Wii and told his grandmother so. Blom also claimed that his girlfriend called him names “for not liking the Wii.”
Eventually, after fighting for awhile, Young began packaging her bags. Thinking that his girlfriend was “walking off” with the Wii, he became angry, and Young said that she was then dragged down two flights of stairs. Blom asserted that he was simply trying to block her and then she punched him a couple of times. After that, he says he pulled her hair.
Both Young and Blom were charged with assault.

“We’ve noticed a bit of confusion on the forums regarding add-on content for Rock Band 2 on the Wii. The downloadable content is in the final testing stages and Harmonix is working as fast as possible to deliver the 20 free bonus songs for Rock Band 2, plus an additional 30 songs from the Rock Band DLC Catalog to fans as early in 2009 as possible. As soon as we can announce a firm date, you can be sure the Rock Band community will be the first to know. We hope this clears up any confusion about Wii DLC. Again, Rock Band 2 for the Wii is an amazing full band experience that ships with 84 of the best tracks in rock and roll. Stay tuned here for more information as it becomes available.” – Harmonix developer
