The latest demon trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V is now available, and today’s video focus on Surt. This is another creature that has been appearing in the series since the very beginning. The creature has been represented in the main games as well as Persona and side titles.

In Norse mythology, Surt (more commonly known as Surtr) rules the land of fire, Muspelheim, guarding the entrance of this realm with his shining sword, Laevateinn, that is said to be brighter than the sun. It is also said to be the creator and the destroyer, as the fires of his realm created the stars of the heavens, and later during Ragnarok, it will rain down fire unto all land.
